I’m gonna make this one brief, since I’m not looking for a huge debate on it or anything, it’s just something that pisses me off.

Politically correct youth of today. They surround me… everywhere I go.

I can’t use the term boyfriend to refer to my BOYFRIEND. NO. it’s “partner.” Even if that person is not a partner in ANYTHING except for in bed.

I can’t say bitch. to ANYONE. Even males.

This is ridiculous.

You know what these people would say about LTWWB?

and I hypothetically quote:

“using the word bitch in a negative way (ie: to complain, rant etc) is just further blahblahing the opression of women blahblah pejorative blah blah……”

Oh my god… I’m too tired to make this Bitch remotely entertaining, witty, or relateable.
So I will leave it at this: bitchnuts.

  1. Yeah, that’s a little above and beyond in the uptight department. People are really that stringent about the use of “bitch” though? Wow.

  2. People like this make me want to tie them to a telephone pole and give them a piece of my mind for a couple hours. My philosophy is, life is too short so say whatever the hell you want. Maybe somewhere in there something good will pop out.

  3. HAHAHA kay, that was awesome. I’d say something along the lines of “o, sorry your right, I shouldn’t have insulted my dog like that, poor thing.”

  4. I’d be tempted to sing ‘CUNTCUNTCUNTYCUNTYCUNTCUNT’ around people like that just to watch them grind their teeth into powder.

People like you’ve described are a total fucking waste of time. You can’t please ’em so don’t even try.

  5. I hate it when people use the word ‘partner’ to refer to their boyfriend/girlfried/husband/wife/friend/lover/fuck buddy.
It’s impossible to tell someone you have a ‘partner’ and for them to know what the fuck you’re talking about without asking.

And TTFN, I loooove using the word ‘cunt’ too! It’s one of the only words that is guaranteed to get a reaction nowadays!

  6. Something that does piss me off is when you are with a guy and when introducing you to someone say’s “Yeah, that’s my woman”. Or when trying to get my attention “hey woman, go grab me a beer would ya”. That doesn’t work for me at all, and if he does it more then once, I’m done with the relationship period.

  7. Hooray for the word CUNT!!! It’s probably the most used in my vast and extensive repetoire of curse words and general profanities. To me, only hippies and homosexuals use the word “partner” to refer to their significant other. I’m not saying this is a bad thing, so don’t jump down my throat people! It’s just something I have noticed lately. I also can’t stand when people say “my woman” or “my man”. It sounds too possesive. Makes them sound like a piece of property.

  8. I’m not a fan of the phrase PC police. It’s usually just kind of a lazy, conversation stopping overreaction. I think there are genuine PC police and they take it too far. But I think more often people use the term when their use of offensive terminology is challenged; they make it about themselves by feeling as if they are personally being attacked; and then they try to “shut down” the other person by accusing them of being something equally as dastardly. It’s the same with “lighten up”…”chill out”….”stop being so sensitive.” It’s a rote, cliche response.

As for the OP’s specific concerns, I actually agree with some of them. The words boyfriend and girlfriend, for instance…some people don’t like that these are gendered words and choose not to use them. Some other people simply think that they are immature, highschool words. I personally use these words and would think it was ridiculous if someone questioned it. Sure, maybe there’s a more appropriate word for this relationship…we’re umarried, but we’ve been together for going on a decade. But I am bored and uninterested in finding a different term, especially when the use of bf/gf doesn’t actually offend anyone (except the genuinely oversensitive haha).
As for the use of the word bitch? Nah. It’s be a teensy hypocritical of me to complain about that word while regularly posting on a board that has the word bitch in it.
Besides, it’s just a good word.

  9. Boyfriend/girlfriend are meant to be gendered words. People are meant to be gendered too. I don’t see how someone (even a transvestite) could possibly be offended if someone called them a man/woman. There’s no negative connotation to either one.

  10. It’s like what never wrong said, it’s possessive. I am not owned by my “partner”.

  11. I don’t think there’s anything wrong with people choosing not to use gendered words, per se. In fact, I think our society could do with a lot less gendering.

  12. My God nevermind, next you’re going to say that giving grades or sorting kids by their talents in sports is a good thing or that competition is good. You bad, bad, non-PC person (or is that man or woman). LOL

  13. The funniest P.C. complaint I have ever heard, was mentioned on 95.7 news fm one day. A women’s group somewhere(didn’t catch where sorry) was saying that they were going to try and get Santa Clauses HO HO HO changed to HA HA HA because of what the word Ho means towards women. I laughed my ass off, how pathetic is that…

  14. Whenever people use “partner” I always assume they’re gay. I know it’s wrong (it’s screwed me up a few times) but I can’t help it.

  15. Thanks Bro Tim, for putting words in my mouth and trying to get me to fit in with some kind of liberal caricature that you can then conveniently rail against.
Maybe I was talking about stuff like little girls having pink shoved down their throats all the time as if there’s something about having ovaries that automatically makes you want to be a princess.

  16. fuck, they’re the same people who think karma is coincidence, porno is artwork and oral sex is a form of cannibalism.

the PC youth of today are dumb as nails and half as sharp. they think they know everything – especially things they don’t even study or do.

my favourite was some schmuck trying to tell me he was a Freudian and started to say the cliche, “Tell me about your mother.” bit. he then told me to go on the Internet and find out more about Dr. Freud. my response: “Child, I have a degree in anthro-soc already; there’s nothing you can tell me about Dr. Freud and his contributions to social science.” the little twit didn’t even know what ‘social science’ is.

and another: an 18 year old once trying to tell a group of us that all females are bisexual. when asked to back up his claim, he would repeat, “Cuz they are!”

    dumb little assholes.

  17. I’m aware of that Bro Tim, I had the impression your comment was a response to my comment which was a response to nevermind’s. Maybe I’m mistaken.

  18. “partner” to me implies your fuck buddy, fwb, etc… girlfriend/boyfriend tells me I should take the thing seriously.

    Damn greasy thugs.

  19. I gotta change my name. And whenever I hear ‘partner’, I assume gay as well murder junkie. Unless I know they’re straight. Then my mind thinks ‘business partner’.

  20. Every retarded PC Nazi bastard cunt licking gay ass fuck bitch should be put on medical marijuana for their condition.

  21. I suppose cunt licking is better than fart licking LOL.

Used to be when I heard the word partner it usually meant business partner or dance partner. A girlfriend or boyfriend was just that and you were married to your spouse, the rest were just living in sin. LOL

    Mole Rat, no worries.

  22. Yeah Bro Tim… you got it right. But mostly partner in that context to me means you’re gay, or a hippy or a gay hippy. Otherwise I think business. It’s true, most young shits no jack. Being ‘smart’ isn’t a guarantee for being wise. Please know the difference. And get over yourselves you little smart-asses!!

  23. Oh my badness, I just got my ass served to me by Bro Tim and fizz. But I kinda liked it. WITH A SIDE OF ONION RINGS, PLEASE!!!

  24. Fallingangels, I’m with you on the ‘that’s my woman’ thing…
really put me off…and I never say that.

first off, (I know this is a little more vague these days but still) like I didn’t know it’s a woman… or man…
and second off, (s)he ain’t yours. closest would be wedded people or *maybe* some dominatrix type stuff… but still.

married people certainly don’t say that though, at least not any I’ve ever known…. unless we do or say something overly (wo)manish.
Like I’ll fart and say, ” mmm…cheeseburger”. Then she can say, ‘nice. that’s my man’
    otherwise…. they know better. 🙂

  25. I wonder what our Francophone community thinks of this bitch. Isn’t every noun engendered, ma ami? *yawns again*
