Do you know how hard that is to fix. I came back to halifax for a a funeral and what i get is no way home! I can’t fly back to the states because I have no FUCKING PASSPORT ANYMORE. I stopped for one last mean before heading to the airport, you ignorant fucks need to grow up and get a job! But thank you to the people in the resteraunt. It’s nice to know there are still a few good people left in the world. To the theives…someday you will be caught. And I hope the other inmates go OZ on your ass. FUCKERS

why on earth did you leave your passport and green card (ie. very important personal documents) in a vehicle? that’s like leaving a $100 on the ground and getting pissed off when someone takes it.
i don’t think it would be fair to parallel leaving personal info in a locked vehicle to leaving personal info on the ground. people leave personal info such as registration for a car in said vehicle so why not your passport and ID. i think the real message this person was trying to put across is, who has the right to break and enter into another person’s vehicle let alone steal their personal belongings. it’s an unfortunate situation and i think people should sympathize rather than criticize as this person’s rights were trampled by some ignorant and selfish individuals.
Leaving something like that in your car in a parking lot was pretty dumb. You don’t deserve it but get a grip, eh?

Yes, you can have your home broken into. That’s why even though it is your home you take precautions like not storing wads of cash in a shoebox, you keep important papers in a safe, and guns in a gun locker (that’s where I keep mine). Even these are not foolproof, but it certainly lessens the damage.
If I were in any city of any foreign country on the planet, would I leave my PASSPORT in a car? No, dumbshit, I would not. I know how important a passport is and how much of a hassle it would be to lose it. And I didn’t have to have mine stolen to have this driven home.
Fuck, people take their CD player faces off when they park their cars. Are they being overly cautious? I mean, its not like people will steal it, thieves re too busy reselling US passports.
i didn’t say that it is okay … but like cranky said, you have to take care of your shit. cars are not safe places to keep important items … it’s like people who leave bags and bags of christmas presents in the back seat and wonder why someone snatched them. because they are there. my car was broken into for a handful of change and a couple of old cds, for christ’s sake.
…Why in God’s name would you leave a high value commodity like a passport in a car on the waterfront? You’re supposed to keep that stuff on you 24/7. They tell you not to put it into a room safe or anything here.
