This goes out to several people whom I’ve encountered the past week.

First I would like to thank the man who refused to have me serve him a coffee at my place of work, Starbucks. Sorry I’m gay, you piece of shit.

Second goes out to the driver of the 52. I arrived at the bus stop, turn to the left and see you drive by, right into a red light less than 10 feet away. I walk over and politely knock on the door, and you simply shake your head and drive away after the light turns green. WHAT THE FUCK.

Thirdly, I give credit to the girl who lives next door. Thank you for smoking, and then throwing your lit butts into my backyard. The garden loves it.

Next Time I’ll Hurt You

  1. Cheer up, they say things happen in threes, so things should be coming up roses for you soon. And did you notice your coworker totally stood up for you on that other thread. You should buy him a coffee and thank him., And the tool who refused to let you serve him is still a tool, and now everybody knows it (except him maybe). That might make you feel better. Oh, and you can try bitching some more on here. That always makes us feel better. I think it’s going to be alright now.

  2. Wow, some of the best barista’s are gays. I wouldn’t sweat it, the closed minded people in this world miss out on the most.

  3. Missed the 52 huh? I wasn’t there, I don’t know the facts fully, but from your description I can surmise that the driver probably thought you were a pedestrian (“I arrived at the bus stop, turn to the left and see you drive by”) and when you turned to face said bus, it drove away. Drivers don’t like picking people up at red lights because if the light changes, they’re now holding up traffic more than a bus typically holds up traffic, which causes car drivers to do stupid things more than a bus typically causes car drivers to do stupid things. Could the driver have double-checked to make sure you wanted the bus? Probably, but again, without being there, I can’t say for sure. I’m just trying to say that it probably wasn’t anything against you in particular.Cheer up, karma always repays its debt, it just takes its sweet time sometimes.

  4. On #1, maybe you should try to look/act less gay when you are working. It is no different from if you were a fat slob or had some other characteristic that some other people would find distasteful; you try to mask that when you are dealing with the public. On #2, welcome to the wonderful world of Metro Transit and their unionized drivers. They don’t care. I have had the exact same thing done to me at the stop on SGR just before Barrington. They blow through there to the traffic lights and won’t let you on.On #3, I dunno what to tell you. Maybe wait for her and toss a bucket of water over the fence at her the next time she does it?

  5. keith, if someone has a problem with someone over something like being gay, or fat, or black, or goth or liberal or conservative or whatever: that’s THEIR problem!the customer was the one who was uncomfortable. and while I agree, wearing assless chaps or somethign equally voer the top to work might be a teensy bit inappropriate, that server has a right to be who they are and not have to ‘mask’ it, particularly if the reason that customer disliked them was because their voice was a little higher, their walk was a little swishy, or they had popped the collar of their shirt of dyed their hair or soemthing else.it’s the customer who should accomadate them- otherwise where does this end?

  6. there will always be someone who is offended by some aspect of another person. I persoanlly find combovers atrocious- does that mean the next clerk to wait on me with a combover must de-comb himself for my viewing pleasure? no. the customer was in the wrong and needs to get over themselves.

  7. well 1 to 3 all fall into the same category. maybe you’re oversensative, mayby you are a bit inward as well as awkward, or maybe you’re just an over the top ahole and it in fact IS personal in the form of payback. enjoy your parade, and your latte. and barrista is counter clerk. simple as that. time for a real job that will cause you less stress.

  8. I hate Starbucks with a passion, but I’d come to one just to have you server me. Metro Transit sucks ass. Half the drivers are on a control trip.Get some gloves, gather them up, and leave them outside her door. She’ll stop.

  9. its against the rules and regulations for a bus driver to pick up a person at a set of lights. An infraction like that can get SERIOUS reprimand should they get caught.

  10. then maybe they should stop driving by bus stops when they see people standing there… and that DOES happen frequently…. they totally zone out and drive and don’t pay attention to people standing at bus stops. I have no idea if this guy was clearly at the bus stop, but since this has happened to me numerous times when I WAS clearly waiting for a bus, and approaching the curb as I see the bus coming towards me, staring directly at it… only for the driver to be staring straight ahead glassy-eyed and fly by.
