I try not to bite you, but then when you start to get long, you break.
Make up your damn mind! Do you want to be long or do you want to be short? You don’t have the luxury of having it both ways!

  1. hey.. you should be careful about biting fingernails.. I myself am an avid fingernail bitter, however a few years ago, after visiting the gym for the first time, I bit my nails afterwards. Little did I know that a virus was going around, and was contracted in the gym. I got sick reealll sick.. Norwalk virus sick. Nail biting.. such an insatiable habit, but very nasty. oowww

  2. a couple clear coats of nail hardener should do the trick… though if you’re not into painting your nails (as the ninja turtle comment leads me to believe) do let me know what you come up with. I quit biting about a week ago and am going to encounter the same problem.

And scratching goes to a whole new level the first few days of growing them out! wasn’t quite prepared for that since they’ve been short and stubby for a couple decades.

  3. I gross myself out in order to quit doing things all the time. Just start associating biting your nails with something really gross, like think about forgetting to wash your hands after taking a shit, then going back to your desk and taking a bite of your nails to find there’s shit under them! That might work.

  4. Thanks for the tips. I just try to keep them painted, it makes me not want to bite them because it will ruin the nail polish

  5. I have the same issue.. I dont bite them anymore (wearing braces for 5 years got me out of that habit) but as soon as they start to get a little legnth, they chip and break?

Is it cause I square them? I’m not a fan of rounded nails! I’ve tried hardner, but all that does it make them look shiney, they still break!

    🙁 *sigh*

If anyone comes up with some great ideas.. I’d like to know as well..
