So I get on the bus (the #7) to come into work this afternoon and the bus driver had just been bit by a flea and was scratching his ankle furiously. Then, WTF, I get a huge chunk bitten off my arm (I AM exaggerating somewhat). Well, I get a big welt from a bite from something. The bus driver can see the lump on my arm from halfway down the bus. If you have a flea problem, don’t bring it on the bus!! HOLY! —An Annoyed Passenger

How is this the bus drivers problem? He/she was bitten by the same thing(s) you were …… and being the #7 be thankful it was just a flea …….
If you ban fleas from the bus what will Local 508 feed the bedbugs? Dind’t think of that, didya?
they are probly those little no see ums. they bite like a doberman, and then they are gone. some people might say they are sand fleas, which would make you partly right. mites are a real fucking pain, you can’t even feel them, til they chomp on you.
i have that bus song in my head
which one painy, the hail to the bus driver man, from simpsons?

well at least it’s not the magic schoolbus….
or at least it wasn’t until now.
🙂
50 bucks it was from someone on gottingen
Does these mean the senior fleas get to ride for free on Tuesdays?
my lesson for this week. I have indoor cats. I now have fleas. In 5 years of owning these indoor cats I have never had fleas. Went to the Vet for ‘revolution’. They said it’s a brutal year for fleas due to the previous mild winter. They likely got into my house on my pant leg, through the window screen, somehow. We are not infested and I will not stop taking the bus. Seeing as we on the bus generally are outside before getting on the bus it’s kind of hard to not pick up a flea, a bug, or any other flying crawling insect.
In short – the flea hitched a ride and the carrier likely didn’t even know about or even owns a pet!
i wish you well funnygirl, you need to be vigilante. i have battled the mighty flea a few times
Sorry annoyed passenger but that flea(s) could have come from anywhere. You maybe. The mild weather is great for them anf they’re experts at hitching rides.
Koda, where does the OP put blame for the fleas on the bus driver?
I think I know who infestated the buses… probably came from my neighbor who lives on the first floor of my building, owns 5 cats and rides metro transit frequently. She’s sweet, puts flea collars on all of them but those poppy seeds are steady hoppin around your ankles, so I had to stop visiting.
