I am bitching about 2 things; the people who don’t pick up after their dogs and the lack of garbage cans to dispose of it!!!

Maybe if the city had more on the streets more people would pick up!!!!Maybe not!!! Seems to be someone with Big dogs that are not picking up!!! Whoever it is do you leave your poo out for other people to deal with?????? Why would you leave your dogs poo??? Not cool dude!! I know you all love those big dangerous dogs by your side but have some respect and pick up their S–t!!!—North and Agricola Neighborhood dog owners!

  1. I agree pick up after your dog….however there is a lack of bins…so guess what take it home!

  2. Yea I agree . I had the same trouble finding trash cans in the HRM . Needless to say – also hard to find dog parks. I carried dog crap plenty blocks trying to find a trash can to dump it at .

I work 10 months out the year in calgary. There is bountyfull dog parks here – lined with a bunch of dog poop ( ok trash cans ) bins !!! I can easily say this is an awesome dog friendly city with tons of responsible owners . We just got three new parks designated here – ( and i’m talking huge acres !! To to the already over 60 or so in the area of calgary .Bonus is you can also take your dog on buses and ctrains when paying a ticket for them .

HRM should follow example and do the same . We have plenty green space . This falls thou to people to be responsible enough to keep them clean and pick up they’re dogs poop. I carry extra bags on me and if i see someone walking off from a pile i catch up and give them a bag and ask them to pick it up . SOme of the parks have a plastic bag dispenser in them for people to use and also some people ( me included ) will put our sobeys et al bags into the dispenser when empty for people to use.

  3. A certain lard-arse loudmouth Liberal MP with a brain the size of a dehydrated pecan absolutely refused to pick up after her black lab Jake when she walked him though the south end. I’ll always regret never leaving her a flaming fudge sack or 2. Don’t grow up kids, maturity only buys you ulcers.

  4. Several years ago I was sitting playing rugby on Citadel Hill, at the corner near the CBC. After our game, we were sitting on the hill, unwrapping the tape off our various aging joints and sucking back Gatorade.

Some dude was walking with his dog a bit further down the hill. The dog had a little shit. The dude walked away. Everyone (excepting myself) started howling about how filthy and disgusting that was, and how the dude had no manners or conscience.

Then the whole team walked away, leaving empty Gatorade bottles, flapping bits of tape, and other garbage all over the hill.

I bet in a couple of rains that dog shit was gone but the plastic bottles, chip bags, and sports tape were probably still rolling around.

My advice is, therefore, either pick it up yourself or hold your fucking nose and do attempt to step around the dog shit. It’ll decompose.

  5. Is there a way to pick up and dispose of the homeless and beggars from Spring Garden Road. They smell just like the dog poo you mentioned.
