You stole my new bicycle which was locked. You must think that you are entitled to just take other people’s property. It was a new bicycle and I relied on it for exercise and to get around. Because of you I will have to buy another bike. People who steal are eventually dealt with by the law and you cannot go on stealing. —Victim of Bicycle Theft

  1. wow, and not one mention of karma, i’m impressed. but you know as well as anyone that has anything stolen, where it end up, eventually. check kijiji in a week, and bet you that’s where it will be, sans a bit or two.
crackheads and punks don’t have much brains, and then, have a big fucking piece of steel in your hand, when you go to see and get back.

  2. That sucks. I hope you get your bike back. If you have apartment insurance it should be covered. I knew a guy whose bike was stolen at his workplace, and his house/apartment insurance covered the loss.

FYI, you didn’t say where your bike was stolen but I’ve always kept my bicycle stored in my house/apartment/shed and it’s never been stolen. During the day, I lock it in well-populated areas. If out in the evening, I try to lock on well-lit roads. Locking your bike in a quiet and unobserved location will result in a stolen bike.

  3. There are always a collection of bikes “for sale” on the corner of Church and Morris. You could try looking there too.

  4. canned, it as well as other things are only covered if you add them to your policy. been there on this one.just like your auto insurance will not cover add ins like stereo equipment that you put in after policy is penned and signed by you. i learned this the very hard way back about 20 years ago, and it hasn’t changed yet, to my knowledge. you gotta tell the company when you add to or take away from. otherwise, you could say someone also stole your hundred grand painting, get the picture o.p.

  5. That SUCKS, OB. You did everything right and shouldn’t have to buy another bike.

    Valid bitch and thieves suck.
