  1. Myself, I prefer “Good Sirrah,” or “Your Highness,” depending on the circumstances and whether I am wearing my crown.Seriously, OP, relax. Isn’t there enough genuine prejudice in the world without imagining it where it doesn’t exist? Your post makes you look like a stereotype, too, by the way: the African Canadian who thinks everyone else believes all African Canadians are the same.

  2. I dunno, i think i’m with the OP on this one…sure there has been ‘bro’, ‘dude’, and ‘man’ for ages, but ‘cuz’?? c’monnnnn, were stretchin it here a bit, arent we??

  3. actually being from Ontario, i noticed this too. And it annoyed me. Just like that “ay bai” thing everyone says. That is simply because it sounded like “boy”. A clear term of disrespect. Me not knowind this led me to confront people and have it explained. Now the Cuz thing, that is a maritime thing. In ontario they use a myriad of things like this, “Fams”, “son”, “bruh” or whatever. I just ignore it and move on. Now as far as the music. I notice the black folk make comments that I like house music and that i am not a true black. Then it occurred to me, the majority of house music is written by black folk. Its funny. I was a hip hop dj back in ontario, and we play reggae other than sean paul or beenie man. Out here, reggae is virtualy nonexistant on the club scene here…….but the OP thing….. doesnt reallly phase me.
