Anyone else see the picture of the punk who burned the cross on the front page of the paper? Is it just me or does it seem pretty stupid to be wearing a G-Unit hat when being charged with a racist act? It even looks like he was wearing it backwards too. And what’s up with them getting out on bail? That will teach them a lesson, won’t it? I bet if the victim was a government official or, you know, not just some regular people, they wouldn’t have been let out on bail. Grandma says it was all blown out of proportion—Jesus they burned a two-metre-tall cross with a noose around it on someone’s lawn! —G-Unit, Give Me a Break

There’s a Facebook group that was created by some friend of one of them called “we love [insert douchebag’s name here]”. It was created before this, but anyway…
Apparently others found it and spammed the wall with, well, hateful things. Understandably so; what the guy did was horrid. But the defenses that people were using…! Jesus. They were saying that people shouldn’t be so quick to judge him because we “don’t know the whole story.”
The hell? What else is there that we need to know? They burned a cross and uttered racist comments. It seems clear.
jdp21 is awful quick to pass a verdict before they even have a trial. They can’t be held responsable for their friends setting up a facebook group seeing how they were locked up in Burnside – no internet access.
But neither you or I saw them burning a cross nor did we hear them uttering alleged racist comments so why no wait for the crown and defense lawyers to stand in front of the judge and let the legal process do its work.
Now the alleged male target of the alleged racism is already crying foul over their release on bail. It’s what happens to those charged but not deemed a danger to the public and they were released on some strict conditions. The guy needs to chill a bit and get over himself. He’s not the judge in the case!
Personally I think it was their hate for this one man, more then the whole black race.
They are cousins with no history of problems between them. Something set them off, and their hate got the best of them. The shit they pulled would have started when the couple first started dating if that was the underlying issue. Knowing they got bail, there is more to this. IMO
Lord have mercy they got bail. How can this be possible?? Where has our justice system gone wrong? Seriously, this story has become the media’s little darling lately, and if it wasn’t, the fact that these bozos made bail would never be a front page story.
the crown tried to keep them in the brig… blame the judge i guess
yeesh ttfn, this is a small place and getting smaller by the minute…i’m off to my treehouse full of fur babies…not only do they not care what i look like, they like it when i smell bad
well you know these punk ass little motherfuckers have to have something to do way out there in the sticks. don’t get me wrong, windsor is anice place, and so are the majority of the people there. but every once in awhile, a few inbreds crop up, and this is the shit that comes from it. wonder if they got any goler blood in em’.
me like furry little female things too paingirl, got two of them here now, both black.
I’m guessing this troll person didn’t make it past grade 5?
If two Black folks burned a cross in front of an all-white home, the suspects would be tried under a terrorism act. Sad but true.
Would depend on they’re country of origin fat. Should they be born here – it would be just a hate crimes . Same thing as they got charge with . Now , if a person of a certain middle east country did that , well …… you know the rest .
The issue behind them not getting bail is the fact that in a lot of cases, people who commit hate crime have a high likelihood to re-offend. Granted, that’s not every case. I could see the concern for them being out on bail.
Problem is, these kids would be treated like heroes in jail by those who feel the same.
Hog and Fever – always there with great follow up and solid words.
Hogster – you make a point on the citizen vs. resident comment. and, like you my brother, I do know the rest of “descriptive details” and the sensationalism that loves it.
Fever – a lot of convicts are treated as heroes in jail. maybe too much (?). the thing is these two aren’t kids anymore and know what they did. it wasn’t a mistake.
“in a case of, shall we say, ‘reverse racism’ if there’s such a fucked up term”
Reverse racism implies that ONLY white people are racist, which is a racist concept in itself. When a group of blacks beats up a white and calls them whitey, it is ‘racism’ pure and simple, and the EXACT same as a group of skinheads stomping on a black person.

So, two idiots who commit a hate crime don’t deserve bail, but an accused murderer does? Can’t have your cake and eat it too, people. If the bail program is there, it should be there for all eligible accused of crimes.
I dont care what, if anything, this guy did to deserve having a cross burned on his lawn. What I do care about is the fact that the children had to witness it. A child should never have to see, or hear, anything like that.
I hope it ends for both parties involved and that not one of them acts out in revenge.
The lawyers will get them off on all charges based on some made up being-abused-as-a-child-by-a-distant-black-uncle-babysitter/mailman story.
I am not to sure they would be treated like heroes in jail. I am pretty sure there is a large black population in jail that wouldn’t be to happy with these guys. I pity them if they do go to jail.
The only point I was trying to make BRoc was that in the case of hate crimes, the perpetrators have a propensity to escalate to something worse. Meanwhile the guy who murdered somebody has already dealt with his/her feelings for the most part. You’ll notice, if it’s somebody who is likely to kill again, they’ll revoke bail.
