Attn smokers:
I don’t mind if you want to perforate your esophagus or blacken your lungs, but when it comes to mine, well I would prefer if you would be considerate and butt out. To the older “gentleman” who was smoking in the bus shelter at the bridge terminal: you must think that you are God’s gift to earth and the only person that matters. Well I hate to burst your bubble but this is not true. I am pretty sure that it is illegal to smoke anywhere around these terminals and by golly I think there are even sings up with little pictures on them just in case you don’t know how to read; but then again maybe it doesn’t matter because you’ve already killed half of your brain cells. If you’re going to disobey the laws fine. Just stay out of my way and all others who want to be able to breathe in the future.

**waits for all the smokers to arrive and bash this post**
I’m a smoker and am totally on the posters side. There’s no reason for someone to be smoking in the bus shelter. A debate could be made whether or not you can if no one else is there, but that’s besides the point.
I completely agree with this post. I am the mother of an 11 month old boy and I am also a smoker. I take every precaution to keep my son away from cigarette smoke including refusing my parents when they want to take him cuz they smoke in their house. I smoke outside and always have even before he came. Now I am ever so concious of the inconsiderate smokers around me. I make it a point to veer away from smokers at the bus stops and terminals. You would think that when I park my sons stroller in a terminal and walk outside and bit away from it (not far enough away that it looks like I am leaving him there of course) that other people would take notice and not go in there and smoke. I am a quiet person and I avoid confrontation but when it comes to these people who insist on lighting up next to my babys lungs I say whatever I want to them. It disgusts me to think that these people don’t think of what they are doing. Hell I even hold my breath when I am smoking and anyone of any age walks past me. Its ignorant people that make smokers look bad. Well sort of, I know I am hurting myself and I know I stink but atleast I try to keep it to myself

i dont know why that came up twice and sorry to take up so much space with my double rant lol if anyone knows how to delete one of em let me know
I, too am a smoker, and I also agree with this post — however, I’m inclined to ask if you asked the dude to simply put the smoke out? I tend to be forgetful of things like that when I’m out and about — but once or twice I’ve been asked (once politely, once not so politely) to put my smoke out by nearby people, and each time I complied with absolutely no argument.
