To all the people who take issue with the schools’ bullying policy, instead of pointing fingers at government or bureaucracy, take a good look at the parents of said students. If it ain’t about neglect nor indifference….it’s about liability, as in I’m suing if my child is punished and I didnt agree to it. Dollar bills y’all….and unfortunately no good cents (sense).
When did we become a society of litigation?

  1. Agree with you, OP. This is becoming way too much. At the end of the day, the money isn’t going to help the victim. I was bullied all through Jr. High…a teacher’s daughter I was. It was a horrible ordeal, one I will never forget for the rest of my life. My parents didn’t sue, the school was of no help, so finally I did the only thing I could do…I fought back. They left me alone after that. I wouldn’t wish it on anyone. And yes, look to the parents. Usually what’s going on at home has a big influence on how a child behaves outside of home. That’s why I find suspensions for bigotry a farce. You’re sending these kids right back into the cause of most of the problem…monkey see, monkey do. It’s bullshit!

  2. Kids have to learn to stick up for themselves…
    we all go through it.

    oh and good idea…
sue an already strapped, underfunded sector and screw everyone’s kids up.
    smrt.

  3. Not sure this makes sense…not sure what you are bitching about…who are ‘the finger pointers’?

  4. bullying is not inherited o.p., it is a learned thing, usually from home. yes, we have some great role models for parents these days. i still say that you should have to pass a test in order to have kids, and retested every 5 years to make sure you know how to raise them.

  5. It’s a lack of parenting skills. zZzed. Some kids can’t stick up for themselves. I’ve been bullied in school and stood up for myself, however the bullying continued. Luckily for me, I got a good life now (not letting it bother me) and the bullies are stuck going nowhere in life when I saw them 25 years later.

  6. Parents of the bullies are suing the schools or parents of the bullied? A little more background info is needed here OP.

  7. I’d be interested in hearing from those who clicked “dislike” on some of our comments. Everything starts at home, folks. I don’t know how anyone could disagree.

  8. WOODFROG THE BULLY

“If it ain’t about neglect nor indifference… it’s about liability, and I am suing if my child is punished and I didn’t agree.” Woodfrog

This bitch is incoherent. First of all, what, exactly is the school’s bullying policy with which Woodfrog doesn’t agree? Why doesn’t he agree with it? What is he talking about? He then advises us to “take good look at the parents of said students”. Since his child is apparently a bully – that is why Bullfrog is threatening to sue the the school board in the first place – he is apparently incriminating himself. He goes on to question when we became “a society of litigation.” Perhaps the answer lies with self-entitled people like himself. He shouts, “Fuck off finger pointers, it’s not polite!” In addition to pointing his own finger at the school board, would you say that Woodfrog is not himself a paragon of politeness? Finally, Woodfrog concludes with another incoherence. What can he possibly mean by “walk a mile in shoes with shackles. See how well you do.” Is Woodfrog relating his own experiences? How well did you do, Woodfrog? Not very well, I bet.

It was ironic to see TTFN up on the comments on “Bullying issues.” If anyone has first-hand knowledge of the practice it’s got to be her!

    A pleasure as always.

    Cheerio!

  9. I’m 100% sure MMoron was bullied as a kid. Superiority complexes will do that to a scrawny twerp. It’s hard to drink a juicebox from the inside of a half-sized locker, isn’t it?

It’s never that they “can’t” stick up for themselves…
it’s that they won’t. And we’re a fucked up generation telling them they shouldn’t have to…
even though you have jerks and assholes all over the place who will inevitably fuck with you. Kids need to grow a thick skin and a god damn spine when it comes to peers.
When it comes to adults, they need to shut their fucking face and know their place.

Something tells me not being born ages ago in the wild, wild west has been detrimental to my sanity.

  10. Have some empathy Zedster. I mean, a man can only take so many swirlies without it affecting his giant chess club sized brain. Besides, the battlefields of the Halifax Glamour School toughened MM for his real mission in life – blackballing Jews and Catholics who wanted to join the Waeg.

  11. zZz …don’t be modifying my nickname & trying to fit it onto the Mumbler. His attempts to enlighten the underclasses when he’s lower than a snakes shawdow himself . Would ,as I’ve said several times, be laughable if it wasn’t such pathetic cry for attention.

  12. I’m surprised the old fuck isn’t at the Vatican conclave blowing white smoke rings out of his wrinkly asshole. I’m sure he’s cracking his boney knuckles as we speak – in preparation for another tedious, yawn-worthy epistle.

  13. QWERTY stroking gives St. Joseph’s Orifice direct access to his mental clitoris – these wordy missives are simply excessive fapping sessions to the strains of Wagner’s ‘Götterdämmerung’.

You are witnessing the twilight hours for the Big Giant Head.

  14. “DENNIS! – cart yer arse on over ta Rome, willya. Bishop Oullette called and sez He needz ya.”
…and then the repressed memories kick in. >: 0

How is your collection of Nazi Memorabilia, Dennis?
Is there a conflict between someone claiming to have concerns with bullying, but has a fetish for Nazi collectibles?

    Wait for it-

    Yes.

By the shining beard of Dennis Cato, I swear this to be true.

    Weetabix!

    : The Dribbler (10:51AM)

The last sentence says it all but, appropriately in your case, it doesn’t say much, as usual.

: The Chairman (aka “The Beloved”) (11:09AM)

No Jews and Catholics, just crypto-Nazis like you.

    : More (11:28AM)

But not from you More, not from you!

    : TTFN (12:35PM)

Blowing smoke out of your wrinkled arsehole. That’s pretty good you old bully.

    (2:54PM)

References to Wagner! I never thought the bullies in the the Halifax Underclass would have heard of him. Too busy bullying defenceless wogdog.

: The Chairman (aka “The Beloved”)

Did I ever mention that I lived and taught in Rome for a year and returned for visits several times? But no, “Bishop Ouelette” (sic) is definitely not my type. Come to think of it, neither are you.

    : P/ (4:06PM)

No fetish P/, just an intellectual interest, something you would never understand. But I did enjoy the blank space on your post. Very symbolic, I thought.

    A pleasure as always.

    Cheerio!

  17. Noone but you, Dennis, would understand “intellectual interest”.
    You’re very “special”.
