I completely disagree, OP. There are many reasons for not bringing the back the death penalty, the most fundamental of which is that killing another person is wrong, except in extraneous circumstances such as self-defence.
ok, then you don’t have to.
I’ll be executioner…
I look better in a full face, black hoody anyways.
Do I have to bring my own axe?
cause if so, I’m making it as dull as possible,
just for them…
yeah? you figure brendon? I disagree with your view. the peoples lives that willians has changed forever will never get there loved ones back. others are traumatized knowing that a monster disguized as a high ranking military officer has left them feeling unsafe and vulnerable. punishment needs to fit the crime.
this man doesnt deserve to even be housed in prison, living off mine, yours and everyone elses tax $$’s. I only hope that the gov’t steps in and strips him of his pension (contract or not). that aught to pay his new room and board.
I’m not saying that what Col. Williams did is in any way justifiable and I understand that the families of the victims want to see him brought to justice, I just think that the death penalty is fundamentally wrong and flawed.
Death is too quick and easy for this particular scumbag. I hope he lives a long, miserable, life in his cell beside former schoolmate Bernardo.
As for re-instating the death penalty, perhaps we should ask David Milgaard et al the wrongfully convicted how they feel about that.
i have been debating this subject with friends and customers all week. i don’t like straddling the fence so i agree with brendon and oc
Exactly, oceanchick. Though I would argue that in some cases waiting on death row is more harsh than life in prison, but I digress.
I don’t know what I agree with when it comes to the death penalty. It’s not a black and white situation. What Williams did to those poor girls was not human. I was in tears just reading the paper knowing what had happened….and the people in the courts had to sit through that…their families…. their mothers. I think the punishment should fit the crime in this situation…there’s no doubt he’s guilty…it’s all on tape. I hope someone inside teaches him what it’s like to beg for his own life.
but I just made my axe dull and quit my job…..
🙁
now I’ve gotta go grovelling back…
maybe I should bring the axe, that might help.
A bullet is lot cheaper than supporting this sick shit for the next 50 years. Who cares if it’s quick or not? I don’t want this cunt feeding off my tax bucks, thanks.
Despite being this community’s resident “Cuddly Conservative” I oppose the death penalty for one very simple reason – it is not a power that the state is in any way competent to wield. (See OC’s point above re: Milgaard)
That being said I can search my soul and come up with no compelling reason to prolong the lives of genetic mistakes like Williams, Pickton, Bernardo, Olsen, Homolka, et al. Certainly not at public expense. Certainly not with the potential of eventual release, after being determined a minimal threat to re-offend or the even more risible “having paid their debt to society”
So, I’ll take the coward’s path and be glad that it is not my decision to make and learn to live with the hole it burns in my gut.
very eloquent admiral, the debt loads of these killers is incalculable anyway *sigh*
Colonel Scumbag should be forced to pay for his own incarceration costs via his cushy untouchable pension.
My only concern about the death penalty is that there are cases of wrongful convictions. Look at Donald Marshall Jr, for instance. Innocent dude put in jail for murder. If we had capital punishment and he was put to death wouldn’t that be a shame?
People like Williams and Benardo, for example, deserve to be put to death…but it’s just not error proof and I think even one person put to death when they are innocent is enough to justify not putting those pricks to death (besides, jail is no picnic and a pretty shitty way to live…).
Ok. My question is: how did Williams’ wife NOT know her husband was doing all this crap? Apparently he had so much stolen lingere that he had to burn some to make room for more. On top of that, he kept the last girl he killed in his garage for two days…how could you not know that(or smell) a body in your garage for that long? And how could you not notice your husband was burning shit in the backyard or wherever? I dunno sounds very very fishy to me.
Of course there could be a very good explaination for her not knowing…but…I dunno.
We used to have capital punishment in an age without the accuracy of technology we now have. How many innocents swung before capital punishment was abolished?
Death is an easy way out for these monsters. They suffer longer when they are alive.
I’m gonna have to go ahead and say don’t bring back the death penalty. Leave that to third world countries and the United….nevermind. Anyway, don’t bring it back for the simple reasons of wrongful convictions and these guys/gals don’t deserve this quick and easy way out. I don’t mind if my tax money goes to make monsters’ lives long and horrible; that is where I would prefer the money to go to ;D.
I only support a death penalty if there is absolutely NO doubt to the person’s guilt – this robo-rapist confessed – case closed.
This piece of shit had a wife??? Figures.
PK…they owned two homes. The wife was at home in Ottawa. Poor Jessica Lloyd’s body was the garage in Tweed, in January, likely frozen thus not decomposing. Hard to imagine the missus not noticing bags and bags of stolen undies in her garage but some people can be pretty oblivious.
I’ve got no problem withthe death penalty…as soon as the courts have the capability of bring the dead back to life.
Only if they can rectify the mistake of killing an innocent person later when they find out they’ve fucked up yet again, with evidence or human error will I change my mind.
B U T
If its someone like Clifford Olsen who not only admitted to it, he brought the cops to places where he buried some of his victims…well thats a completely different story.
Seems from what I’m seeing in the news about this Col. Williams he has also admitted to doing the crimes, there’s no way these types of criminals will be cleared later, they’ve admitted it.
So maybe they need to put suicide booths on the wings in the prisons where they lock these animals up … let them off themselves ! ~:)
I agree with the OP. Why waste money locking them up for 25 years……25 seconds on the lethal drip is far cheaper.
reminds me of Robin William’s idea of using them as soldiers and sending them to war.
Fight terrorism with our own terrorists.
I also disagree with the death penalty. Obviously because killing people is wrong. But besides that, the criminal justince system is NOT infallible.
Any system devised and run by humans is succeptible to human error, corruption, self delusion etc. Lots of innocent people have been jailed in the past; there is most likely many innocent people doing time right now. Thus it’s highly unlikely that every person who has ever been on death row was actually guilty.
While it’s true that the justice system is more careful when dealing with extremely violent crimes, at the same time these types of crimes evoke strong emotions in people, emotions that can intefere with the case. It’s difficult to be impartial to such heinous crimes, especially for the people involved in the judging process who have to review the gory crime scene photos and details. Even moreso when there are grieving families waiting for closure and answers.
Then there’s all the problems within criminal science itself on which hard evidence is dependant, evidence that can be the differece between guilty and not guilty. All too often it’s bad science performed by people who are either not scientists, or working too close to the case to be completely unbiased… or both. And when that’s not the problem there’s always room for the evidence to be misrepresented or poorly explained to the jury in court by lawyers.
There’s just too much that can go wrong. I suspect It goes right more often than it goes wrong, but if possible execution is at steak… there is abolutly no room for the things I’ve outlined above.
I realise that overcrowding in prisons is an issue, but it’s not an issue that should be a deciding factor in whether or not the death penalty is used. In my opinion jail time should be reserved mostly for violent crime anyway.
Basically my position is that once the criminal justice system is COMPLETELY infallible (pretty much impossible) we can start debating about whether or not to execute people. But until then, the topic shouldn’t even be considered. I would rather my taxes go towards keeping hundreds of serial rapist murderers alive in jail than go towards one innocent person dying.
i’ve change my mind. i want to kill that monster with my bare hands *sob*
The only problem in keeping them around is that another Alan Legere will happen. Remember him, he escaped and killed more people.
I say “No.” to the death penalty for a number of reasons the main one being “what does that make us?”. Does it make us killers too? Believe me, there have been people who I think deserve to be dead (some by my hand – peel their skin off bit by bit) but the “compassionate human” side of my brain says it’s wrong to kill. No. Don’t kill. I agree that the fact criminals are in prison (which I guarantee you is no fun) is punishment enough. Take away ALL of their rights. ALL of their freedom. ALL of their life. I don’t mind paying taxes to keep these assholes away from me and other innocent people. Saves others from killing them. “An eye for an eye.” just doesn’t cut it anymore. Who are we to pretend to be gods with the lives of others?
i’m not a god meester, just another sad/angry parent…rooooo
But meester the problem is that prisoners have rights and get more rights each day because of bleeding heart liberals.
I completely disagree with the death penalty and hope that it never returns to Canada. Its barbaric for a civilised society to have a death penalty. If someone does commit crimes like this they should never be allowed parole but killing them is not making the world a better place, it simply makes more people into killers.
Love the comments from people thinking it would be cheaper to have the death penalty. In the US, criminals can stay on Death Row for years before they get executed. Don’t you think tax dollars have to pay for that?
my brain hurts. it is no deterrent, i am glad we don’t have the death penalty in canada and i am going to stop reading live feeds from this case
Good plan Painey. Don’t let your state of mind be another of this bastard’s victims. He is not worth it. Roooooo.
that is one saweet kitty ivan. my remaining leotard doesn’t rawr much but he sure can purrrr
Speaking of “the sleazy bastards like that fucking murderer Williams “, I wonder what deal he made, does anybody know? I don’t.
Promote him from Col. to General Population.
he wouldn’t be declared a dangerous offender but it is moot at this time. my real fear is that he is well-trained. families came to this trail seeking answers, because he could is all i have
What these people need is to spend the rest of their lives suffering for the pain they caused others.
What I found interesting is that the only thing he seemed to be concerned was how all of this was going to affect his wife.
Another Karla, you mean?
If she was another Karla there is no way her ass would not be before the courts too.
His concern for only his wife shows how truly psychopathic he is. His letters to the families demonstrate quite clearly the psychopathic lack of comprehension for the pain and destruction he caused so many and the absolute horror of his actions to his victims, their families and friends.
I have not paid close attention to the case so I don’t know the details. I just thought, how scary is this wife if a double murdering cross-dressing underwear thief was worried about what he has done would affect her.
Hugo that is pretty close to a libelous . There is not a shred, a hint, or iota of evidence that Mrs Williams was anyway involved or had any knowledge of her husband’s activities. As Base Commander (in fact most if not all Base Commanders) have rigorous schedules and can be active both day, night, holidays, and weekends at times, so Mrs Williams wouldn’t even suspect anything. The fact that Williams (I will never refer to him by rank) even managed to commit his crimes is evidence of his organizational and planning skills, which will make him a danger to escape in prison.
I’ve also heard that his pension should be taken away. Now that sounds good but think of the repercussions throughout society if it happens. If it does then EVERYBODY in prison, whether civilian, military, government, or private sector, and those with RRSPs would have to give up his or her pension. The administration of such a policy would be a huge and expensive headache. Would it include those on house arrest or anyone convicted of any crime. How would it be administered? More importantly, what about the families left behind, who had nothing to do with any crimes, should they be punished also. I could see a requirement that the immate sign the pension over while he or she was serving time. You cannot punish families for what one member does.
Just wanted to seek clarity but not position on either side of the capital punishment debate but there was an observation I overheard this week that in the military (once maybe but not now)the process of court marshall where in wartime there is a different standard held for serving soldiers for & crimes get different punishments of up to and including facing a firing squad. Is this still the case and ‘on the books’ now in the CF? Or is this some wishful thinking I overheard?
With that said, we are @ war in Afghanstan & he did killed another serving soldier.
Lets watch what the US army (rampage) psychiatrist ‘gets’ as his trial is in the news as well.
My guess is that we will find out a few more ‘crimes’ this guy has done, seeing he kept files I’m sure some other places he was posted are dusting off cold cases. Bless the victims families.
At present the maximum sentence a person subject to the National Defence Act can get is life imprisonment with no chance of parole for 25 years, the same as the rest of Canada.
The Death Penalty in the Canadian Forces was abolished in 1998. It was on the books for the offences of Treason and Mutiny. There may have been a couple of other offences (perhaps murder and rape) but I can’t remember offhand.
Fuck bringing back the death penalty, just waste them yourselves. It’s not like they can kill you for it.
@zZz – Sending homicidal psychotics who get their jollies abusing women off to fight the taliban and AQ.? They’d switch sides in a heartbeat.
I want the death penalty back as soon as possible. PK as for Donald Marshall, who has now been made out to be a saint, he wasn’t walking in the park for the good of his health, he was out looking to jack some poor fucker up.
Eliminate all the multiple appeals and then bring out the rope. I admire China on this issue.
I’ve often wondered if the jail time Junior served for something he didn’t do was more , or less, than what he should have served for the douchebag moves he made after being exonnerated? Domestic abuse, home invasion with a shotgun, etc.
Bill and Ben — DMjr was conviced of MURDER of which he did not commit. No matter what he was there for that night, he was wrongfully convicted of murder. No one’s making him out to be a saint, and even if he WAS out there to “jack some poor fucker up” he didn’t deserve to be put in jail for murder. “jack[ing] some poor fucker up” isn’t a capital offense so why would he deserve to be put to death just because despite being wrongfully convicted he wasn’t a saint? Awaiting your response 😉
Also, there’s no doubt in my mind that williams will sign his pension over to his wife or send her the monies. Only reason he confessed is because of concern for his wife…which is pretty fucked…I watched the tapes last night on the internet and they were pretty effing sick. Just the calmness of that guy, and the fact that he doesn’t come across as someone who would be into that shit…I dunno, if you can’t trust a wing commander in the CF…who CAN you trust? *shudder*
I cannot believe that he was permitted to write a letter to the family of one of his victims. I cannot believe that anyone thought it a good idea to expose them to that. I nearly went through the screen of my TV when they read the excerpt. What the hell was the judge thinking?
The former C.O. of 12 Wing made a terrific comment – something to the effect that any number of CF members, former & serving, would dearly love 5 minutes of uninterrupted “quality time” with Williams.
Ugh i wish I never watched that interrogation video on the net. It’s been bugging me all day.
I mean it was my choice to watch the video but that shit doesn’t need to be out in the media. The pictures included. Rarely anything bugs me and when it does it’s likely pretty nasty and this has creeped me out all day.
unfortunately this is only the tip of the juggernaut. lalaland probably has someone picked out to portray williams in a feckin movie of the week
Maybe he will get a nasty taste of his own medicine in prison, and some big burly man will make him his new BFF.
Woody Harrelson, they could be brothers 🙂
get outta my head hg, that’s what i though too…grrooo^^
I’d say ‘no’ to the death penalty for all the reasons already listed.
Furthermore, I’m waiting for the ‘other shoe to drop’. Col. Williams is behind bars and with any luck will stay there for the rest of his life, but I don’t think we have yet learned the full scope of this tragedy.
I think there will be other cases linked to him. I think there may even be future revelations regarding ‘who knew what and when’. I have trouble accepting the apparent fact that a guy in Col. Williams position, former commanding officer of the now defunct and secret Camp Mirage in the UAE, recently commanding officer of CFB Trenton, Canada’s largest airbase, and recent hobnobbing companion of Generals, Prime Ministers and Defence Ministers, could lead such a double life and nobody had any clue.
The positions of responsibility he held aren’t given out to cooks and bottle washers. He presumably had been vetted for fairly high level security clearances. I don’t think they get much higher in the Forces. This brings into question the quality of the vetting that was done in his case and, to my mind, the quality of the security vetting in general. Obviously, the scrutiny he underwent in his military career wasn’t probing enough to uncover his psychopathic personality or his ongoing criminal activities, which doesn’t leave me with much confidence in the current system of security vetting.
This guy exercised a lot of power in the military command structure, and he was at the same time a sick and demented killer. It’s a frightening thought.
As painful and tragic as this has been for the families of the murdered women and his numerous other victims, in my opinion it ain’t over yet.
Commandant…if I wasn’t frightened enough before…you have me a thousand times more worried.
I wonder how much security is on his wife’s home right now. Protecting the home that means so much to her. I wonder what kind of person she is….he seems to be afraid of her.
And I don’t think that the courts allowed him to write that letter to the family…I thought they found it in their search? I could be wrong.
PK – we would do to DMJ what the UK did to Mr. Hanratty – they apologised, he had been hung already so his hearing wasn’t all that good, they re-buried him in consecrated ground, gave his family some cash and then hung a few more criminals.
Sadly our society has been turned 180 degrees and laws favour criminals. We need a return to the good old days of public hangings; that would pack The Common(s), ticket sales would be brisk, we could run a lottery as to how long it took for the hangee to croak, it could even be considered preformance art to pacify the NSCADDers. As it’s almost on Quinpool we could have a few beers in the new restaurant/pubs that can now sell drinks without serving food.
Even the cyclists could watch, and the buses would have a few seats removed for the porkers with enormous strollers……
Someone asked earlier as to why Williams wife wasn’t aware of his actions. I lived in the area at the same time where the infamous Yorkshire Ripper was killing women, once he was caught the media were asking the same questions. It seems as if serial monsters can compartmentalise their lives to the exclusion of even their spouses.
I need a Goverment grant to buy a box of kleenex to dry my eyes after listening to the sincere apologies of Mr. Carvery the reformed swarmer.
Apparently the interrogating officer for the confession provided pen and paper to write apologies after the confession of guilt, of which the scumbag did, to all four of his victims and/or families, not just one. All four apologies were rejected by the families/victims as meaningless and properly so. The ‘apologies’ did nothing more than further illustrate just how completely this idiot just doesn’t comprehend the horror of his actions.
I can understand the investigating officer allowing him to do that as part of the confession process. Lord knows I’ve watched enough NYPD Blue. But why they ever saw the light of day is beyond me. The implied horror in telling a mother that her daughter loved her, because she said it so many times in her last hours is nauseating. I don’t think the families should have been exposed to it. I just don’t get it.
The letters, as well as photographic and video proof of his depravity were entered into evidence as a reflection of just how cold and removed from the reality of his actions he truly is, for the purpose of consideration during future parole hearings to ensure that he does not qualify.
Good point. Lousy week.
I find it interesting that slasher/murder movies (the more graphically potrayed the better, it seems) are acceptable and desired forms of ‘entertainment’ yet when the scene plays out in real life the brutality is too much to accept.
It’s because movies are escapism and not real, oc.
Remember folks, it’s not uncommon for a judge to order a letter of apology. The problem is not with the letter but people’s obession of wanting all the grizzly details. I have purposely avoided the videotapes, pictures, letters, and just about everything else as much as possible. I don’t need to see all that shit to know he is a sick fuck. Knowing all the details will not change his life imprisonment with no chance of parole for 25 years. It is not going to change the horrible grief the living victims and the family, friends and collegues are going through. all it does is feed the public who for some strange reason seem obsessed with the horror and brutality.
Weird place to want to escape to when there are less chilling options.
OC, about the movies, I think that’s why people thought blair witch was so ‘chilling’ and what made it unique…
it was attempting to take the fake out of movies.
It was only borderline believed to be fake at the time and people were going apeshit for it.
then they saw it, threw up because of all the motion sickness, and were overall disappointed.
🙂
I don’t find that interesting at all Oceanchick. I find it laughable that someone could actually compare pretending to cut up a fictional character on screen with the fake blood and all that to someone ACTUALLY cutting up another human being, as if they are somehow on the same level. Not only does that attitude falsely judge people who like slasher and horror movies as somehow sick or evil, it trivializes the severity of the evil present in actual killings and the people who make them a reality.
If you want to point your finger at a group of people and say “tsk tsk” point it at the people who treat this horrible REAL sickening tragedy as “entertainment”. Point it at the groupies and fan-base that will pop up for this serial killer just like they pop up for every other serial killer. Point it at the media feeding frenzy that scrounges for every last gory detail and doesn’t think twice about releasing it to the public.
The true sick nature of society isn’t found in fictional horror movies, it’s found in real fucking life.
you are referring to the whole Dexter fanbase, yes?
No, I’m referring to actual fans of serial killers who write fan/love letters to them in prison and try to marry them.
Dexter is probably one of the best shows on TV right now. As far as gore goes, Dexter doesn’t even register… they show nothing.
zZz are you referring to the TV show or DD? They’re both horror shows.
I wonder how long it will be before someone decides they need to make a movie about Williams’ crimes.
there is probably already a script written. gacy, bundy received fan mail while they were still alive…that’s why we don’t like clowns
There was a whack job in the valley who left her husband because she was so smitten with Legere. And this was after his recapture.
RC, seems like he was emasculated by someone, I noticed both murdered girls resembled each other. Wonder who they make him think of. The phsyc-boys will be busy with this one for a long, long time.
On a different note; anybody hear from the Sleep Watcher lately?
The thing I find most disturbing about this particular case is that according to the evidence we have, Williams lead a perfectly normal life, and then as if out of nowhere started stealing from, sexually assaulting, and raping and murdering women all within two years. It’s unheard of for someone to just start serial killing so late in life with no warning sings at all. Most serial killers start exhibiting violent behavior very young.
This disturbs me because it means one of three disturbing things. Either he was completely normal for most of his life and just randomly snapped and started being violent and killing. Or he was always violently killing and just managed to hide it better than any other killer in history for the longest amount of time. Or he was always violent and just suppressed the urge for so many years that he reached a breaking point. Although all of these are equally frightening to me, I think the last one is the most likely since it might explain why he escalated from sexual thievery to full out rape and murder so quickly.
Too late to apologize to DMJ. He died in August 2009.
snoop – there is male menopause, jeckle and hyde? In his changed state he no longer wanted/could restrain himself? We may never know why he turned violent.
The journals will be published soon enough.
There’s studies done on possible links between biology and violent behavior.
One is linked to testosterone, which is found to be especially high in violent criminals. This is old news though as it’s been credited with explaining why there’s more male performed violence and killing than there is female performed. Chemical castration of willing prisoner serial rapists/sex murderers has shown dramatic decline not only in sex drive but in aggression across the board. Although completely resolved conclusions have not been made yet owing to the fact that a great number of normal non-violent people also have exceptionally high testosterone. At best it’s a contributing factor.
Then there’s a really interesting more recent one about brain trauma. There are recorded cases of victims of head injuries or brain tumors having uncharacteristic violent outbursts after experiencing the brain trauma. All the cases have trauma to the same specific part of the brain, the frontal lobes. Since many of the worst killers and violent criminals were abused as children, the social and biological relationship is pretty interesting. Some speculate it might be the answer to why some victims of abuse turn out fine and others turn into violent criminals. But that’s still a huge speculation to make at this point.
There’s also some people looking into genetics in animals, but I haven’t read anything about that.
off topic, sorry guys, I’m a huge nerd.
The only thing that sick bastard did right was plead guilty and saved the victims (those lucky not to have been killed) and the families of the two innocent victims months of testimony and the taxpayer millions in court costs and lawyers fees.
snoop it is possible. I do not know if any testing was done or will be done on Williams. One of the most famous cases in recent history is that of pro wrestler Chris Benoit. The pathology of his brain was something else. But the cause of his trauma appeared to be his using his forehead to hit his opponent coming off the top rope.
You’re right NGF, DMJ did die in 09 but what that sick fuck Bill and Ben is talking about is apologizing post posthumously after wrongfully sentencing him to die for a crime he didn’t commit. Thanks, Bill and Ben, you have further validated, and I’m sure everyone else’s, opinion on the death penalty. On another note, Williams got 2 life sentences with no chance of parole, so the sick fuck will rot in jail as he should
BRoc – after you’ve had your morning dump to clear your head, might I suggest you re-read my point. If you find that too difficult, as it isn’t written in crayon, perhaps the nice male nurse who looks after all your needs will explain it to you.
I was replying to PK’s earlier point about DMJ being jailed for a crime he didn’t commit. My message told what happened in the UK to a Mr. Hanratty, who was hung for a crime he didn’t commit.
Used to see Junior a lot at the Sore Arse in the 80’s.Looking somewhat “over-refreshed” as those cut-ups from Frank would put it. Poor bugger couldn’t go for a leak without some Birkenstock jockey insisting on shaking his hand and saying something brilliant like:
“Sorry for the way the white man’s justice system fucked you over; wanna go get high with us?”
Sic transit gloria.
Sic transit gloria – Ivan don’t tell me McClusky takes the frigging bus?
> : ) Naw, she’s got a limo to bring her back from bingo in time for “her stories”
I knew DJM personally also and can tell you he was a man with a good heart. If you treated him well he treated you 10x better. A great person to have a deep conversation with or just shoot the shit.
When he died I actually contacted all three local levels of government to have the flags lowered to half mast and I was given the run around. I spoke of how our government would do it if a monarch or world leader in another country died and that he was local and did a lot for actual Nova Scotians (maybe Mi’Kmaq only, but still) and Canadians. I compared him to a fallen soldier as well citing that his wars were fought in courts and on home soil. Some of the people I spoke with totally agreed but were tied up in bureaucracy and red tape.
In the end I had to actually contact the Canadian Minister of Heritage and the PMO, both of which said the other was responsible. So instead many of us held our own memorial for him.
Here’s my thoughts on the death penalty.
1. basing judgement on the money it costs to house prisoners is a moot point since it costs about 10 times more to kill them than to keep them in prison for life
2. As mentioned previously, the outcome of a death penalty cannot be reversed if it is found to be wrong
3. It has never shown to be a deterant to violent crime.
4. It is a relatively painless procedure then it is over…I would rather see the SOB suffer for years
5. It still won’t bring back the people he killed
I lived for a while in a state that allowed the death penalty and made my family promise if anything should happen to me that they should fight to make sure the person does NOT get death. I have always been against it.
If the death penalty is supposed to be a deterrent than it should be performed in a public square. Frankly, I don’t have enough faith in our justice system and judges to properly apply death sentences without killing innocent people.
Kingston, he’s going to Kingston, 23 hours a day in a 2.5 X 3m cell for the next 25 years.
