Dear Halifax:

What is with all you kids buying tattoo machines and inking people out of your basement? You don’t know what the fuck you’re doing. your work is terrible. you Can’t draw and you’re just scarring people for life! You’re all a joke.

Go do an apprenticeship somewhere, learn to tattoo, pay your fucking dues like the rest of us! If this was the old days you’d have your fingers broken by now.

PO’d Artist.

  1. A buddy of mine tattooed a very amateurish f-u-c-k across one knuckle and y-o-u on the other – might have been cool to him at the time but now that he’s 50, it’s pretty pathetic to look at. Good thing he runs his own business ’cause I’m sure he wouldn’t have been hired anywhere.

  2. honestly, an apprenticeship does jackall for anyone. I’ve had friends so apprenticeships, only to be the shop bitch, and learn nothing. All for like $2000. Talent and practice are what gets you places.

  3. I am so glad SOMEONE finally wrote a bitch about this, because attention needs to be drawn to this CRAP being done around town.oh and ahem.. *excuse me* HAHAHAHA.Dear Mr/Ms peoplelikeyouannoyme,I am willing to bet you, hmm, i can safely say, 8 million dollars, that your “friends” were unfortunately untalented, and/or cannot draw, and/or were unclean/unsanitary, and/or probably an un-knowledgeable person, much like yourself. If your “friends” were any wear near a good artist, they would have succeeded. Can you please tell me what cross contamination is?? Do you know the definition of a bloodbourne pathogen? Do you know how to prevent contaminating everything and passing it on to the next person? Do you know how many layers of skin there are? Do you know which layer the ink sits in? Do you know how to properly care for a tattoo, so that you dont end up with scarring and infection? Did you know, that you potentially make someone sick, for the rest of their life, by tattooing them?If you (or shall I say your “friends”) knew this, you would know that Apprenticeships are not bullshit. How else would you learn?? OH I KNOW!! By handing out Hep C!!! Of course!!! That always helps!!

  4. Unfortunately a lot of the people in Halifax are very uneducated in this department. And it is really sad to say.

  5. Do you really think that if it was as easy as tattooing a fruit and some friends in your basement with some shit you bought from ebay, that anyone would ever actually go through the hard work of an apprenticeship? Because its most definitely easier to be a shitty artist, then a good artist. Right?

  6. Let me end this off by saying the all so famous quote that is said by ANYONE that knows a thing or two about tattoos— GOOD TATTOOS ARE NOT CHEAP, CHEAP TATTOOS ARE NOT GOOD.So until you know what your talking about, peoplelikeyouannoyme, (your name is so perfect for me to refer to you as) I suggest you go round up some Hep C in your neighbors basement and Tell me in 20 years how that blue and brown spot you call a “tattoo” was totally worth it.Thanks.

  7. -Cross contamination is the spreading of germs, bacteria and/or disease by carrying them from an infected area to a non-infected area. -Bloodborne pathogens are microorganisms found in human blood that are “pathogenic” – meaning they do, or are capable of, causing or producing disease. -Cross-contamination prevention is conscientously acting so as to eliminate any chance of spreading bacteria or disease. -Skin is composed of 3 primary layers.-Ink sits in the middle dermis layer.-Properly care for a tattoo by keeping it clean, not submerging it i water, not tanning…. Some people say cream, polysporin, that debate will rage forever.-Yes. Only morons would even consider that someone wouldn’t know tattoos can make you sick. Real ick.Do I get 8 million now?

  8. PS Im not Mr/Mrs peoplelikeyouannoyme but I agree with what he/she posted so I feel like I also qualify for the 8 million dollar prize<3 <3 <3
