Daily Grind is open
Now open is the Daily Grind (1479 Birmingham Street), moved from down Spring Garden and no longer a magazine store and deli, now just a cafe. “The space is beautiful—comfortable with three fire places, four chandeliers,” explains Daily Grind manager Ann Franz. “Although it sounds exotic it is very warm and cozy with the soft paint colours and a beautiful space.” The Daily Grind is offering gourmet coffees, specialty drinks, light lunches and decadent desserts.
Mills and Twisted Muse close temporarily
Shoptalk has heard that a fire last Friday, September 3 at Mills (5486 Spring Garden Road, 429-6111) has closed the place, which includes the boutique Twisted Muse on the second floor.
