Right now the jagged peaks and valleys of unclean sidewalks along our public roads are an impassable nuisance. But snow banks can be climbed (if you’re able). You can have snowball fights, or go sledding down their slopes.
Slush puddles are just gross. You can’t have slush fights. Nobody goes tubing across scummy brown ponds. After watching some nice citizens help an elderly lady w/ cane across a three-foot-wide puddle on Spring Garden Road, we asked Halifax where the worst of these puddle eruptions are.

Naturally another blizzard froze things over before we could collect photos of all these gems. As luck would have it, weather this winter continues to be cyclically terrible, so we can all expect even bigger lakes to form on our sidewalks and streets as the next thaw sets in.
