Tess (5687 Charles Street, 406-3133) is going to be featured on
the second season of Food Network’s You Gotta Eat Here. For those who
haven’t seen the show, host John Catucci finds comfort food-serving,
off-the-path restaurants and showcases their food and interviews
owners, chefs and customers.
“The restaurant was closed all day yesterday [August 9] for filming,”
says Liz Cunningham, owner. The episode will feature three of the
restaurant’s best dishes: a quiche with potato crust, a scallop and
shrimp dish and one of their brunch items called croquet madam, which
is ham, swiss and gruyere cheese topped with a fried egg on a Belgian
waffle.
The film crew is still filming, but the restaurant will be open to the
public so Catucci can interview customers.
