We’ve heard that area gift shop Cool As A Moose (5110 Prince, 422-0890) picked up and moved to Quebec City, where moose are often even cooler than here, wearing sunglasses and shit, speaking fluent French.
You know what, we might smirk or sneer, but who doesn’t enjoy seeing a dog dressed up? Three Dog Bakery (22 Logiealmond Close, Dartmouth Crossing, 405-3364) is having a series of Valentine’s Day events for your dog, starting with the black bone, red carpet “Whine & Cheese” from 6-9pm, Friday, February 13. Dress Bailey or Rex up and bring them in. Saturday you can book a spot with a caricature artist—-which takes about five minutes for $12—-to have your fuzzy friend captured for posterity.
You may have noticed that Art Expo (Park Lane Mall, 5657 Spring Garden, 492-7128) has moved into a new spot in Park Lane, just to the left as you walk in from Spring Garden Road. The word is its just a month-to-month lease, the space was available and Art Expo had enough stock to fill it. The downstairs location near Nubody’s remains open with the poster stock, while upstairs carries mostly framed prints.
