After Reflections Cabaret sent out some teases via Twitter about filing a proposal to move into a new space, finally it was revealed that the much-loved downtown dance bar had its sights set on the former home of TAO, The Adventure Outfitters (5187 Salter Street). After reading Refs’ excitement over the building’s high ceilings and mezzanine, I got to thinking…maybe it would be a cool, albeit smaller, fit for the bar (I think, though I haven’t measured). I’ll share more deets on this as I get them, but until then…what do you think about the potential move for Reflections, internet? Yay or nay?

  1. The only times I’ve been to Reflections it hasn’t been more than a third full. Maybe it gets fuller with big events, but my experiences make me think it could fit into Tao okay.

I’m curious to see what the impact of having Reflections and Pacifico in such close proximity will be in terms of the number of drunk people on one street.

  2. Halloween or Pride night is always jammed at Refs but it’s just their dance floor that needs to get bigger, not the actual bar. I think TAO would be a good fit. As gross and shady as this bar is, it’s important that we have a gay bar Downtown.
