Missed topic in hbus story

To the editor,

I enjoyed last week’s news article, “Day tripper” about hbus.ca.

Your reporter, Holly Gordon, may not have been aware of the brief
success of a Transport Canada-funded project to do exactly the same
thing hbus.ca has done in Halifax.
Information on the Transport Canada website indicates that the
Halifax Bus Route Finder system went live in February of 2004.
Metro Transit once even included the bus finder on their
website. 

The article would have been better if the author had asked Metro
Transit about their experiences with Transport Canada’s project, and
whether it influenced their current plans.
