Actor Alicia Silverstone has been in town most of the summer filming MOW Candles on Bay Street, and she’s been spotted in practically every corner of the city. We’ve gotten sightings from Citadel Hill, the Waterfront, the Wooden Monkey, Barrington Street and the Lord Nelson.
Last weekend Silverstone dropped by a house party, Mary Hamblin’s stand at the Market (they spoke about “the benefits of vegan products improving the world if they were sold simply as good food rather than labelled ‘vegan’,” e-mails Hamblin) and north end hipster mecca Gus’s Pub. That’s Ms. S with Gus’ owner Dimo Georgakakos at right. “She was very nice, got a special Gus’ t-shirt, and was the very last customer to leave the bar,” says Georgakakos.
We wholeheartedtly support movie stars getting in with the people (outside of the Shoe Shop), and to them we say “Keep it coming.”
