To the Editor,

The Coast’s review of the Foggy Goggle, or more precisely the accompanying headline and lead in, left a bad taste. I have dined at the Goggle on several occasions and always found it a pleasurable experience although I admit I simply go to enjoy the food (and an ale) whereas Ms Feltham’s job is to be critical. The body of the review actually seems a reasonable description of Ms. Feltham’s experience and opinion both positive (good food, excellent service) and negative (cold soup, “sterile” décor). What I would consider a middle of the road review. The headline and lead in line however were extremely negative and didn’t represent the body of the article. Perhaps a beastly headline was deemed in keeping with the number of the beast theme (666th issue) of the edition. Or perhaps someone couldn’t resist a feeble attempt at witty wordplay based on the “oddly named” establishment. Regardless, you can do better?
