To the Editor:

I am greatly disappointed by the restructuring of the Halifax Refugee Clinic. Two of the three full time employees have been let go with what appears to be no sound reason. I have volunteered at the clinic for a number of years and have seen the amazing work that these individuals do for people who are seeking asylum from some pretty unimaginable situations. I fear that it is the quality of service we provide to refugees that is being sacrificed. The services done by these employees is not done by any other organization in Nova Scotia, unless the refugee hires a private lawyer which for obvious reasons sounds like an oxymoron.
