Kimber’s telling of the story behind the story in Table Manners just serves to remind us all that racism is still very present not only in our school board rooms but throughout our community. I think we need to pay heed by taking responsibility for examining how our own “seemingly inocuous” actions and assumptions may be perpetuating hurt, isolation and division.
