CBS had a whole thing a few years back about possible dangers of treadmills – it was really quite scary what it can do to a persons face if you trip and fall…

The gym can be a dangerous place. Everyone should be aware of there surroundings, and in this case, look at the tread before stepping on it.And if you’re sure someone was being malicious, I would report it.
Edit: That is if you ‘think’ someone’s being malicious – report it. 🙂
