Remarks: Smith says the problem can be traced back to the still-under construction Citadel High School, which will draw its heat from the nearby hospital. “There won’t be a furnace in the school—the pipes will run under the road. They’re not eager to pave that over until those things are installed”—this spring. However, Jessome calls us a day later to tell us that he’s spoken with the school’s contractor, and they plan to immediately look at fixing the problem. Huh. Let’s watch Bell Road to see how this plays out.

Who’s Responsible?: Steve Smith with NS Transportation and Public Works (424-2233); Gordon Jessome with HRM’s Planning and Development (490-6840).

  1. That’s so grade school, I can’t believe it. Some people are just idiots. Did you complain to management? I’d want a refund asap.1

  2. seriously – that is so shitty i almost think you might be alittle paranoid. why would anybody do that jesus H Christ- that is really dangerous! if this person really did this and the machine didn’t just F#$@ up- then i would talk to Nubody’s -that is inappropriate and again i’ll say dangerous! CBS had a whole thing a few years back about possible dangers of treadmills – it was really quite scary what it can do to a persons face if you trip and fall…

  3. The gym can be a dangerous place. Everyone should be aware of there surroundings, and in this case, look at the tread before stepping on it.And if you’re sure someone was being malicious, I would report it.
