Atlantic Film Festival banners still hang from our city’s telephone poles and street lamps. It’s fine, until you consider just how long ago the festival really was. Eight weeks, my friends!

Remarks: We love the Film Fest, we really do. And seeing the banners still waving is sort of comforting. Like finding an old ticket stub in the pocket of your blazer, they can bring back sweet memories. A first date, a remarkable movie or maybe a particularly hot theatre make-out session, whatever. Bearing this in mind, it’s been quite long enough. Too many reminders just get us anxious about next year’s festival, like those annoying “364 Shopping Days Until Christmas” signs that you see at the mall. Man, do those ever chomp.
