Remarks: We at On Patrol, being avid pedestrians, care very much for a clear, safe sidewalk, not one that has to be carefully navigated by wheelchairs, strollers and the like. When a billboard is simultaneously advertising a parking lot and obstructing the sidewalk, it hurts. We called Paramount to get the details and we’re told the sign fits in with all bylaws and a permit has been obtained. The permit has been extended until sometime in November. Paramount says there have been no complaints so far about inconveniencing pedestrians, but people have asked how long it’s going to be there and if there’s a proper permit. That sounds a lot like complaints to us.
