Head on down to Garrison Brewery (1149 Marginal) November 20 for a trap-shrimp event, as chefs from local restaurants will be preparing delicious sea-fare onsite. Chedabucto Bay trap-shrimp, a community-based fishery around the Canso and Arichat-area, are famous for their high quality trap-shrimp caught in an ecologically sustainable way. Tickets are $15 (includes shrimp, beer and live music) and can be purchased at the Ecology Action Centre (2705 Fern Lane) or call 442-0999.
