I love Gossip–praying they play London when I’m there this summer–and I admit to having a not-so-secret girl crush on lead singer Beth Ditto, who bares all on the cover of the new NME, giving an alabaster middle finger to all those skeletor waifs crowding the stages these days. I’m saying all this as a warning—if I catch any of you making disparaging remarks about her photo while I’m browsing the news stands as I do on weekends, I will hurt you with my tall boot.
