Despite a whole internet at my fingertips, and plenty of special Journalist-Approved search tools in my utility belt, I can turn up only one non-local Halifax mention of note. And it’s kinda not even a full one. According to a powerful search tool that will not be named, the website of the Toronto trucking mag Truck News has a story about Air Canada’s just-announced “daily non-stop service between Gander and Halifax, effective June…” That curiosity piquing ellipsis is courtesy Google News — whoops, I hope the journalists’ union doesn’t kick me out for revealing trade secrets — and a click on the link brings up an annoying sign-up screen from Truck News that wouldn’t just give me the story. So I don’t know when you can fly to Gander, but if things stay this slow for Halifax, I’d encourage you to it as soon as possible. (You can sign up for Truck News here if you’d like. And please, please send some Halifax sightings. I’m getting desperate here.)
