Remarks: A frustrated Coast reader complained about the state of Portland, claiming that she nearly punctured a tire on the edge of an exposed pipe sticking up through the gravel. You might say she “piped up” about it, but we wouldn’t, because that’s just ridiculous. Sidewalks, sewers, pavement and gas mains are all being fixed, so the grief may be worth it when everything is completed—we’ll let you know when it’s completed.
