To the friend turned Nazi: I was in between jobs. I left one job, remained unemployed for almost a month, then finally got a new job. My rent was due and I needed about $400 to help pay my rent. I wasn’t going to get paid for a couple more weeks. No one in my family had the money to lend me, but you did. You lent it to me so I could get my rent paid. And I appreciate it.
I told you when approximately I’d pay you back; it would be a month after you lent it to me. It’s been 2 weeks since the ‘due date’ and every day, you are messaging me about the money! I told you some things came up, financially, making me unable to pay you back right then. It makes no difference to you though… you want the money NOW!
You don’t seem to believe that I’m not trying to screw you over, I will pay you back, but you may have to wait another week or so. Chill! —Quit Nagging Me

” 2 weeks since the ‘due date’ ” … you know what they call that in university … a fail.
Stop going to the NSLC and pay your friend back! I kid I kid … or do I … …
Give them half the money perhaps, or some portion of it so that they know you intend on paying them back?
Where money comes into things … friendship is tested. Be careful op.
I don’t think your “friend” will be lending you anymore money once the debt is repaid.
You entered into a contract with your friend to pay back the money 4 weeks after borrowing it. It is now SIX weeks so pay up and shut up!
I don’t lend friends money even when i feel terrible knowing they need it…….. lending money to friends ends up with no money and no friends.
Good rule of thumb is, don’t lend anyone money unless you are ok with never seeing your money again. That way you don’t lose your mind like the op’s friend when they cant pay you back on time.
Manage your money better and stop screwing your friends over, inconsiderate twat! They have every right to nag you because believe it or not, other people have their own affairs to manage. It’s not all about you believe it or not.
I feel no sympathy for you OP. You’re late paying your bill. Do you think that maybe because you owe your friend 400 that they are now late with financial commitments they have? You fucked up. Pay up, Shut up, and never borrow/lend money to/from friends.
They may want the money back NOW because they may need it NOW. They lent it to you when you needed it. Then they were in line for repayment. You say ‘something came up financially’ well they were in line before that happened, so should be paid first. You seem not to care that you are past due and yet tell them to ‘chill and wait’ for yet another week … or so’. In other words maybe never!! Grow up,and pay up. Otherwise you will soon be friendless and labelled as a mooch. And that reputation gets around fast and could take years to get rid of, if ever.
OB = Survivor.
how would you liked to be owed over 4 grand o.p., my friend loaned a friend of mine that much, and to date, not even a fucking effort to pay even a buck a month back. this dude put our friendship on the line, and now i hardly speak to them. they have money, whenever they want to go someplace, after complaining that they have no money for bills eetc. after rent is paid. never again.

sums it up nicely…
PAY UP
You fucking siphoning leech – so what’s going to be your excuse next time? If this person remains your friend, you’re one lucky arsehole. I’d dump you faster than last week’s compost.
If you’re two weeks past when you said you’d pay back your friends then you’re a d-bag.
OP, if “some things came up” that is NOT your friend’s fucking problem! You asked to borrow money for something specific: getting your rent paid. How DARE you make your friend wait two weeks beyond the date you promised to pay them back, and then cop an ATTITUDE about their completely justifed queries as to when they can expect repayment!. It’s clear to see you’d rather take care of your OWN needs first than uphold your end of an agreement you made with a FRIEND. I pity the person who wrongly thought they could trust you because they thought you were their friend. I fucking hate selfish piss-taking people like you who borrow money, don’t bother to pay it back on time- making the lender explain to you why they need THEIR money back. Idiot; give your fucking friend back their money NOW and then apologize by taking them out to a NICE supper!!
Dear OB: YOU ARE A SELF ENTITLED LITTLE TWAT!
I can’t believe you had the GALL to write a bitch about this.
Fucking piece of trash. Your friend has every right to harass you.
Your mother should’ve swallowed.
I know you were friends… but this is where the ‘fine print’ can come in.
friendly loan on a handshake means trouble.
A written up agreement signed with witnesses (and for god’s sake, a clause that entitles you to INTEREST if not payed on time… or even just for kicks) can go a long way to getting your $$ back.
Even Corey and Trevor were smart enough to expect interest when loaning to Trinity…
hindsight is 20/20 and all.
Any one on this board live in/ frequent Truro?
There’s a car driving around town with big magnetic signs posted about someone owning someone else money. Kind of amusing and sad all at the same time.
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA Cannatell that is *awesomeeeeeeeeeeee*
Donarious lives in Truro and it sounds like something he’d do, but afaik no one owes him money.
This seriously JSUT made my day.
I don’t loan money to friends or family. I give them what I can without payment expected. This kind of thing ruins relationships.
OP, don’t blame them. You borrowed the money. If your own family won’t lend you money, your friend shouldn’t have done so either. And why don’t you have savings? Don’t you know you should always plan for the future and bank away money? If you don’t like being asked to repay your friend, go to a bank and get a line of credit….assuming you even have good credit to get it.
Ha ha ha, PK, glad to be of service. I happen to have grown up with the person who’s name is plastered on the car. Trust me, even more funny when you know the cast!
I’m pretty sure I know the person who did that Cannatell… she’s dramafied so I had to take her off my facebook. What the hell is wrong with people? She has a kijiji war going on with someone who she bought a toy car off of LOL
I thought the Nazis hated the guys lending the money?
Self-hating Nazi?
You should just be glad they were even generous enough to lend you the money, OP, instead you’re complaining about how they shockingly want their hundreds of dollars back at the agreed upon time. This is why I almost never lend money to friends, too many people will treat it as not a “real” loan.
I want to make sure I’m reading this right.
it’s two weeks past the due date,Thats means you have been paid twice sense you said you would pay this money back.Pay up mother****er!!!!!
