What the hell is it with some women and their purses? I am not saying they are all disrespectful but I have come across quite a few lately that are. Picture this. Long line up at the checkout of a local department store. This lady stands there with her purse and purchases. Finally has everything rung through, gets her total then goes digging through her purse to get her wallet. Then digs through her wallet to get her selected card she wishes to pay with. Then after all that instead of moving the fuck out of the way she stands at the cash and puts everything the fuck back away tying up the cashier in order to reorganize her life. And of course has to zip the thing up and do up the cute little fucking buckle. Same thing at the bank the other day. And oh same at the convenience store, and downtown produce specialty store. What about the gas station? Yup same thing there. I mean come the fuck on. You can have a purse but be mindful that your inability to keep yourself organized is wasting my time. Have everything all ready and for god sake and move the fuck out of the way when you are completing your housekeeping.

  1. I know what you mean, a woman once took everything out of her purse and and rearranged it at the cash and looked right at me like it was the most normal thing to do but what really makes me made is when women plow into me and swing their arm around so their purse hits me in the face.

  2. Oh god, this is going to be a really long comment section. Ya souldn’ta touched that one, holey crap!

A WOMAN’S PURSE IS HER SANCTUARY!!!

    Personally, I don’t carry one………………..Weighs me down.

  3. I always get my stuff out of my purse before I get to the cash. It drives me nuts when women are digging through their purses and they take forever!! Get your shit out before you get up to the cash! Its simple!

  4. People should move on at least a few feet if they are going to be doing that. I think people should at least be given a few seconds to put the money back in their wallet or change purse, but organizing everything in some gargantuan purse in which they keep all their income tax documents and gum for a year is too much.
I’ve never understood the purse-that-doubles-as-a-briefcase crowd. Mostly all I carry around is my 5-part makeup thing, wallet, and keys. I don’t really need my entire collection of receipts for the last 6 months. But, to each their own.

  5. Same with me. I carry that stuff and a couple things for my kids but I keep it pretty organized

  6. I have a rather large purse, but I keep my debit card/cash in a brightly coloured change purse that holds cards and put it in one of the side pockets to find it easily.

And even if I *am* disorganized I make sure I have my wallet out before I even get to the cash — it’s really not that difficult to take a few seconds to get your wallet out before you get to the cash.

I don’t know about anyone else, but I’m starting to tire of the large purse and have been eyeing a few small bags — I mean my purse is big enough to fit my gym stuff into…it’s kinda starting to weight me down and it takes forever to find stuff in it (which is why my change purse is brightly coloured). NGF calls it a bowling bag. heh.

  7. I don’t like purses, never have.

I invest in pockets, lots and lots of pockets. It’s not easy, they evolution of clothing shows a direct link between the increase in purse size and the decrease of pocket size in pants and jackets. You can’t fit shit all in the pockets of a normal pair of jeans, not even your hands when you’re out on a stroll. It’s ridiculous!

  8. Big purses can definitely be useful though for when you have to stuff a lot into it but don’t want to wear a backpack.
I have like…God I don’t even know how many purses…so I just keep moving my stuff from purse to purse depending on the day. I spose stuff would accumulate if you just use one purse all the time.

  9. Fizz, you and I have the same mindset. I carry a small wallet on my person rather than a purse which I always found was a major pain in the ass. It’s so much easier to just be able to pull out one thing rather than rooting through a jungle of crap. Plus some little bastard isn’t going to ride by on a bike and snatch it out of your front pocket – unless you’re in New Yawk.

  10. While I’m not the type to carry my entire world around in a purse, I find it a shame that I feel I need to be in such a hurry to get out of the way of other people that I am forced to shove my change back into my wallet as I’m juggling my groceries and walking out of the store. Are you really waiting that much longer if I put my money and wallet back into my purse before I grab my bags?

  11. My wallet is easy to find in my large cluttered purse. The hardest things to find are always my cellphone and keys!

I understand the OP’s frustration, but I’ve worked in retail and customer service for a long time and I’ve gotta say, you know who’s almost worse? Old men, who pull their little fold up change purse things out and sit them on the counter, and then sift through to pick out change – not even exact change mind you – and then want you to put their leftover change back in their little purse for them, instead of doing it themselves. I hate that!

  12. As a guy, what drives me nuts is my female friends who, when they don’t want to be “bagged” down by their big purse, have me carry their stuff for them because their slutty little outfit doesn’t have any pockets.
Sorry ladies, but between my wallet, keys, cigarettes, lighter, and cell phone, my pockets are pretty much full.
