I saw you in line at a coffee place with your kid waiting to be served. Your toddler wondered off and you didn’t even notice. He started running away while you were glued to your phone. I was worried this child was going to get snatched up by the wrong person. So I approached him, held his hand and led him in your direction. As we were approaching you, the kid starts to cry and pull away from me as I was quietly saying ‘it’s ok, it’s ok.’ Finally you notice. What do you do?? You got up in my face yelling ‘What the fuck did you do to him! You bitch! Don’t fucking touch him!’
I tried to explain what happened but you continued to yell in my face and then you threatened to punch me in the mouth?!
I said ‘Keep an better fucking eye on your child next time, asshole!’ and walked away. You continued to yell ‘Get back here, bitch, I ain’t done with you!’
This is what I get for doing a good deed? A pathetic excuse for a father screaming in my face and threatening me? Jesus, what the fuck is wrong with the world and why hasn’t child services taken this kid away from this degenerate?! —Innocent woman trying to help

And there are a lot of sucky moms who do the same thing.
And there are a lot of sucky Panda’s and Black Eagles who do the same thing.

Where’s Karma when you really need it (sarcasm)
Too funny, the take away for Bro Tim is that there are bad moms out there, too.
Buddy was a douche, no way to put a positive spin on that. Oh wait, maybe he’s stressed because his wife left him for another woman and is gonna try to screw him out of his hard earned money to pay for the ‘lifestyle of which she is accustomed.”
Close?
He could be talking about his own mom, Cranky.
OP, you did what you felt was the right thing and, had it been my child, I would have thanked you profusely.
Mr. Raging Douche deserves a KY jellied pineapple up his honk hole. Worst of all, the child will learn that this type of behavior is acceptable. Fuck, that’s sad.
Nope just going for the equality. Sorry you missed the point.
They usually do miss those points, eh Tim?
No fool likes to be wrong, right?
Don’t be mistaken, Bro, everyone with 1/2 a brain got your ‘point’, such as it is.
I can’t believe this happened and no one stepped in and defended you OP. I feel so sorry for this child who has a roll model like this.
So both of you cussed like that in front of a toddler. I’m not defending his behaviour. And you probably did the right thing. At least up until the end when you (by your admission) unleashed a torrent of verbal abuse on a little kid’s father right in front of the kid. See cause unlike most people, I have a vast long term memory and childhood often seems like yesterday to me. And I know that would have screwed me up, to hear someone call my parent those names.
I’m glad you helped the kid. But you should have kept your nasty mouth to yourself in front of that little kid.
Stay classy, op.
Saw a similar situation in my neighbourhood the other day… kid is under 5 years old and Dad had NO IDEA where he went… took over 5 minutes for him to be found. Fortunately, he wasn’t in the crackhouse across the street!
I keep a better eye on my cat than people do with their children!
Be glad that you’re a woman. If a man held the hand of a toddler he didn’t know, even for a good reason, he would be in a world of trouble.
That’s only because men are rotten dads and pedophiles while women are perfect – not. There are good and rotten parents of both sexes but some people don’t want to hear it.
Thank god for the Bro Tims of the world to keep reminding us!
I think you did the right thing however.. I would suggest that you don’t touch someone else child ever.. even if its only hold hands.. I would have done the same thing and looked out for the child. This man was clearly in the wrong! I hope you can feel good knowing you may have prevented a crime from happening. In this situation I would have talked with the child, got them to point out who there parent was and walked with them in the direction and attempted to get the adults attention as soon as possible so hopefully they wouldn’t get scared when they do see me, a strange adult with their child.
Also.. being threatened doesn’t go over well with me. I would have had someone in the coffee shop call the cops or have the man removed for that.
I find it funny how many people have commented on the fact that a woman could be just as bad a parent as this man but come on people.. this person had an issue and bitched about it.. this has nothing to do with gender and man being worst fathers. Women and men have the same ability at being horrible people.
Bro…nobody is saying that there aren’t bad mothers out there. This bitch had nothing to do with gender discrimination. If the bitch WAS about a sucky mother would you still be all pissy about making sure everyone knew that bad fathers also exist. Fuck man, choose your battles.
When it comes to sucky parents, I’m on the side of the kid. Like I said I’ve seen sucky parents of both genders and I won’t apologize for making sure people know about them and that it is not a neither here or there thing.
Don’t think for one second that anybody reading your initial post actually believes that you would have posted the same thing had it been a woman being a bad parent. Ie, you would not have leapt to the defense of women saying “Yah, but there’s bad dads out there too”.
