You nagged me to meet you, and finally I accepted to meet you at this nice spot, and felt good about things. I waited…and waited. You were a no-show. I figured something had happened to you. I email you and ask, what happened? No response. It’s like you disappeared. I would like to give you a good slap of common sense. It hurts to be stood up, ya know? You could have at least explain what happened, yeah, I deserve that. Obviously you’re too cowardly to even do that. You are an asshole. A fucking pig. A goddamn prick. Karma will get you, fuck-head-big-man-from-a-big-city-moving-here-to-our-nowhere-town. Yeah, you’re a big man on campus, alright. This city will tear you a new one. You should be ashamed of yourself, to treat anyone with such little regard. So fuck you, you ignorant, cowardly, pathetic, plastic image of what a man should be. I hate you! —I Can’t Believe I Shaved My Legs For This

  1. Maybe he showed, and either you looked better than he thought, and he ran away, or you lied about how you looked and he ran away.

Or maybe he just got hit by a bus…

  2. Yet another non-comedic ‘stand up’ story. It happens – a lot, either from cold feet or people being total asses. Always opt to meet for the first time at a public and fairly close place, even just a coffee shop or low end resto. that you can get to (and away from) quickly and easily, that is not very formal – so you do not have to get too dolled up. Then if Mr. or Ms. Prick pulls a no show you have not invested too much into the meeting. Or wasted much time in the long run as it is an easy roll back home, after a coffee or light meal. Of course unless they end up calling you from a hospital or accident scene, there should not be a second chance. Also, it could be a bit creepy as you then wonder if they are maybe just scoping you out and then following you. Yeah, these things can be far from comedic.

  3. Dear OB….Karma’s out having dump in the backyard & doesn’t care about anything else !
Looks like your shit outta luck today, You got stood up & Karma don’t give a flying fucK !

  4. karam will also get your for posting hateful remarks. Saying bad things about bad people isn’t good karma. You should show compassion for that person that stood you up. you do’n tknow what happened. they could have died. if not you should still show compassion, because they are only digging themselves into a deeper hole.

  5. You mean to say shaving your legs isn’t part of your regular routine? I’d hate to see that bush, must be from ass to belly button.

  6. I’m with dartguy.

Is he a chickenshit or an asshole? Doesn’t matter. I doubt he’s in the hospital, if it takes him longer than 48hrs to contact you, don’t believe a word.

A bit off topic…but a nice guy wouldn’t have nagged you, nice guys take no for an answer, just sayin’.

  7. He was probably balls deep in something that didn’t take a date to get there. Dating is obsolete, get with the times and slut up!

  8. you know, as an after thought, interspecies dating and mating is not all it’s cracked up to be o.p. leave the humans be with their own kind. and dogs will hump your leg whenever you want them to.

  9. In my defense, yes, I suppose I shouldn’t say such mean things about someone, (even if he thinks Halifax is a wasteland as opposed to his big important mega-city). Beneath anger is hurt, and it hurt my feelings, especially to be so worried that something terrible had happened. This is the second time he’s done this — the first was an ‘after the fact’ explanation of the onset of a sudden and debilitating migraine, which happens so I was willing to give him the benefit of doubt.

This time (yes, he finally contacted me), he said he’d been involved in a cycling accident and been admitted to hospital for three days — but he’d make it up to me, so when and where would we meet?

It doesn’t matter if it’s a man or a woman, 16 or 86, it’s rude to make plans with someone and then just dismiss them as if they don’t have anything else to do. Oh, and the bit about ‘shaving my legs’ was a joke. I usually try to look and smell clean and nice whenever I go out, including ‘all’ parts of me, so there you go.

As for our third date, I would really love nothing more, however since I suffer from ingrown ear-drum hairs, a highly contagious disease contracted by listening to Michael Buble at full volume, I’ll be quarantined for the next year. So sorry!

  10. ruby – Did he happen to hit a SUV on the sidewalk? =O
    Check his cast(s) for seams.

3rd date??? Shakes head….listen girl, since you’re such a masochist, I can hook you up with a friend of mine who’s a Top, he’ll handle you in the way you need.

  11. What a piss off when a dude makes ya go through the trouble of desasquatching – all for NOTHING!
