I wasn’t there so I can’t say but it sounds as if you might have over-reacted. Accidents happen, you don’t need to yell at people. If they deliberately put a scratch on your car, that would be different but that’s not what it sounds like here.

if it was my car, and caught someone, you know fucking well they would be paying top dollar for a repaint job. and not just the door. colors never ever seem to match right. my 68 charger r/t, has a one of a kind paint job on it, and you damn well can’t get it anymore.
Not sure if you are serious or not L.S but if you are actually serious then I would say “Nobody gives a shit about your car or what kind of paint it needs, welcome to life, suck a dick.” But I also think you might be being sarcastic and I just can’t tell over the internet, so I won’t say that.
i know how you feel op. my brand new car was barely a month old when i came out of the grocery store and saw the bumper scraped obviousl by someone carelessly reversing from their parking space. i figured it was ok to wait till the spring to get it fixed and low and behold about a month later someone dinged it again in exactly the same spot. they just dug the scrape a little deeper. i was so disheartened. hit and runs in parking lots are a fact of life op. sad but true. now that my car is a couple years old it doesn’t hurt as much and what the heck it’s only a hunk of metal anyhow. a means of transportation to get me to point b. material things don’t really matter to me much anymore. it is the sneakiness and inconsiderate people who hit and run that piss me off.
I completely agree. yes we do make mistakes, but you must pay for that. if I rear-end a car accidentally I still have to pay to fix it. take responsibility for your actions people! I would have definitely said something, call me an ass but that’s life
The correct action is to calmly call the police and report the damage. If it was damaged, why didn’t you do that? When has anger made anyone look rational except for the person being yelled at? You sound like a hot head, not a victim.

halimike that’s probably exactly what happened. I’m only saying this because op has the mannerisms of a total shit disturber and therefore, probably parks like a douche. That said, if someone parks super-close to you, yes it’s annoying and obnoxious. But you can still squeeze in without dinging the dillhole’s car.
