Yea you know who you are…yea …you….the one on the bus, the lazy selfish mofo, who thinks that the world was made for you. Yesterday, I get up for an older fella, to let him sit in the front…and this little punk takes my seat i just gave. Just then, the bus oscillates a bit over a bump, the old guy barely holds on, the young punk looks at the the old dude like he’s infringing on my space man…this is all in about 5 seconds, i tell him, i got up for him, and fingerwave for him to remove his ignorant ass so the old guy can sit. Everyday, everywhere, the young generation never ceases to amaze me on how they lack basic respect skills. 3 side by side on the sidewalk, not yielding to on coming pedestrians, is another one…there is no respecting anyone…how did we get here from there…how ??? —Mike

The kid sounds like a douche. I hate the side-walk one. Sometimes, if I’m not in a great mood, I just put my head down and pretend I don’t see them and keep walking, if they don’t move I guess we’ll just walk into eachother. But they always move. Then I feel like I’m the one who was being a prick and think to myself ‘I could have just walked on the grass, not that big of a deal.’
There have always been teens who disrespect their elders, it is definitely not something new to this generation. There were douchebag teens when you were young too OB.
I’am not condoning their actions, just suggesting you should stop pretending that everything was made of candy and puppies when you were young.
Give the kid a break, he was probably tired from a long day of snorting moms Ativan with his buddies.
Judging by the title this young gent didn’t make much of an impression on you.
Jerks come in all ages, genders, sizes and colours don’t condemn any particular generation.
I’ve been waiting for so long to use this link. It’s perfect for this thread.

Hilarious Daniel, and right on the money 😀
This isn’t a new phenomenon. It’s just that when you were a teenager, you weren’t yet self-aware enough to know what a pile of jackasses YOU were. This all looks totally new to you because you only woke up after your pituitary glands finished growing.
In answer to your question, kids had kids. Then they had kids. Bad kids.
I’m not completely one sided on this (just for the record). There are alot of self righteous older people who feel as if they have to be better than younger people in order to be important. Each specific case applies.
OK.. so get the bitch.. the kid on the bus sucks but really.. “the young generation never ceases to amaze me on how they lack basic respect skills.” I have had just as many rude people over the age of forty as I have had young people be rude to me. In fact being a young person sometimes (I think) causes the older generation to judge me and think I am going to lack those basic respect skills you speak of.. and there for treat me like I have already done something disrespectful. People need to stop lumping people in the same boxes just because of age or any other stereotype.
not just the younger generation i was 24 taking the bus (before i wizened up and ditched metro transit to carpool) id the same thing got up to give my seat to a disabled man and some middle aged suit pushed him out of the way as he was trying to sit and took the seat. I couldn’t believe it when i said something his response was “maybe he should of sat down faster so shut the fuck up.” So its not just the younger generation PEOPLE are assholes
