  1. Nerd Alert – on-line medical content.

Current research indicates that the percentage of people with schizophrenia who commit violent acts is higher than the percentage of people without any disorder, but lower than is found for disorders such as alcoholism, and the difference is reduced or not found in same-neighbourhood comparisons when related factors are taken into account, notably sociodemographic variables and substance misuse.

Individuals with a diagnosis of schizophrenia are often the victims of violent crime—at least 14 times more often than they are perpetrators.

A very good friend of mine was a schizophrenic , totally non-violent.
    You on the other hand.

  2. I believe this is a case of the pot calling the kettle black. Methinks someone needs a bit of anger management.

  3. Also, schizophrenia is *not* the same as multiple personality disorder (that may not be the exact name). It really annoys me when people think that schizophrenia means you have multiple personalities.

  4. I kinda disregarded the schizophrenia bit of the OB… just the looney toon nature of the bitchee…

But thanks for the info Hugo. I Heart My Nerds… I also Spade My Dog!

Hi painey! Monty sez: Woof Woof arooooo!

  5. My Nanny is schizophrenic, very sad, usually controllable, and has gotten way worse with age. Was brought on with violent upheavals in her life.

OB just walk away. Violence doesn’t=schizo. Either way, stay the fuck away from violence.

  6. the voices are telling me to fuck again, should i listen to the voices guys? or should i let the rest of us here in me, decide for us.

  7. this means there’s someone else just as crazy on the loose….
    watch out people.
    we’re here… we’re weird… get used to it.

  8. If someone goes back and forth from being happy to angry (or hot to cold?) they might be bi-polar. It is quite common and I think quite easily treated. You shouldn’t persecute them for it though, many people are undiagnosed and don’t understand how they’re treating other people.

Also I have an uncle who is schizophrenic. He has it very well managed, but does not do well in social situations and trusts people far too easily so they take advantage of him. He is an extremely hard worker though, and if you met him you’d definitely know he’s different but you likely wouldn’t know he’s schizophrenic.
