i bet i’ve lived in 25 different places and some in less than savoury hoods; and never been b&e’d; i have however lost 5 bikes over the years i think they should move bicycle theft into the same category as auto theft maybe that would help!
I can agree with Martym . Seems to me noone steals in seedier parts of town . They always go to where they think people are richer and have more . Plus they know if they get caught b & E ing in the seedy part or stealing – they risk a serious thumping . Not saying other people won’t – usually thou they just call the cops . In the seedy part of towns – they don’t call the cops – they bust your ass up . I think thats why theres different crime in the seedy areas .
stealing bikes in the winter, this is the height of stupidity. who wants to really take a chance on snow and slush roads anyway?
I once came out of a mall and had to physically fight off a guy who was in the process of stealing my mountain bike!
I don’t know anyone that keeps their bike outside. We lock them up in our apartments because it’s common sense. You can’t trust people in this city.
my neighbour broke a bike thief’s arm when he refused to let go of the ride…he warned him first. guess the guy didn’t believe him
hahaha! I bet he cried all the way back to his halfway house…
probably tried to suit for loss of income:)
Lucky your friend didn’t come up before Judge Heavy-Lifting Crane, PG. He’d probably still be paying damages to the mischeivous yout’
the victim was a nice kid 17 methinks…there were 3 guys outside the hsc ready to take his bike. 1st/ broken arm. 2nd/ punch in face 3rd/ ran away.
Steamed right in against long odds and won? He must be either an Irishman or a Gurkha. Either way I’d want him on my side in a dust-up.
macdonald clan. he was very calm and gentle and not that tall. yes a good team mate.
Scots wha’ hae, and God Bless the Gallant Forty-Twa.
me kin came from the isle of skye not a mac amongst us, but i’ll go no further.
There’s a great old folk tune that the Corries did a wizard job with that has the line:
“The English horse they were sae rude,
They bathed their hooves wi’ heilan’ blood”
When Sonovabitchova first heard me play it, she had to agree, pretty damned rude.
“”stealing bikes in the winter, this is the height of stupidity. who wants to really take a chance on snow and slush roads anyway?”‘
The OP, apparently…
I think in this instance violence is perfectly acceptable. if you were to see the culprit rolling along in a jaunty way, on the bike that is near and dear to your heart, then a good ol’ fashioned crack to the face with a request to “throw tha biscuits” is well within reason, regardless if its the bike thiefs sister, or grandmother for that matter.WHAMMO back ridin yer bike.yeah!!!!
This made me laugh. Check Kijiji.
did you ever take it off any sweet jumps?
did you get like 3 feet of air?
