For a progressive city such as HRM, we often take pride in how “clean” our city can be. For the ones who want to make a quick buck during summer yard sales, for god sakes, don’t tack up your neon posters advertising the event if you are not willing to take them down after. The city should fine the culprits if the signs are still left up 48 hrs after the date. After all, we do have the address of where you live to ticket you. We have a great city, do your part!!

Since when is Halifax clean? I am not a Hali-hater like some, but come on, this city is VERY scruffy and ill-kempt. There’s garbag, clumps of dirt, and weeds everywhere. I really wish businesses, citizens, and the city itself people would take a lot more pride in their properties.
I would think the littering laws would apply (at least loosely) to these signs. I think next time you see these signs, turn them over, write “lazy” on them, and stick them to the culprits house. Also steal their plants!
