Go to a liquor store where the products are marked up no less than 300%. That’s right the lowest mark up is 300%.
Figure out what you get from your bonus after that !

yeah jermy, but at least you got to keep some of it, til tax time next year, then they will rob you of the rest. fucking governments, gotta love to hate them. an unnessasary evil that some fools elect, just so they can get screwed by them, constant;ly.
If your employer didn’t take off that 58%, then you’d surely have to pay additional income tax instead of getting a tax refund at the end of the tax year. I love my 15% annual salary bonus……used part of it to buy a new 55″ LED TV as an early Christmas gift. The rest I used to max out my RRSP contribution so that I can increase my tax refund. Thank you boss.

I was surprised to get a Christmas bonus, considering I was there less than a year and had put in my resignation. It was a “gift” card, no tax.
Get used to it. Isn’t socialism wonderful?
The government does many important things, you should give them more credit.
