I have been so pleased with my family doctor. She was one of those rare ones who ACTUALLY CARED about me and gave me the best service I can ever remember receiving, and I might add, respecting my decisions for alternative methods of healing and she never tried to drive all these crazy pills down my throat…she looked for root causes to problems.. I called this morning for an appointment; and to get my prescription refilled..and what does the ignorant snotty bitch at the counter tell me?!! My doctor went back to school. Thanks for the notice. Thanks for giving me a new doctor. I asked about other doctors in the clinic and they have two that aren’t accepting new patients…. So…basically…I’m screwed. I’ve been on the phone all morning trying to find a new doctor..and nobody is accepting anyone..including the public gardens clinic which I had formerly gone to. So…ummm…who’s gonna check my blood tests when they come back??! Who the fuck is scheduling my allergy tests after I spent a number of days going to the ER in Anaphylactic shock..shouldn’t a doctor be more sensitive to the needs of their patients…where do we find health care?! I guess I’ll drag myself to the useless family focus to get my prescription refilled..I’m fucked. Thanks health care system…glad my tax dollars are helping to insure I’m looked after…This feels worse than getting dumped by a b/f anyday. : (

Trying asking your friends. When I called my current doctor they told me there were no openings until I told them I was refered by another patient of his.
To put this into medical terms, you are what doctors refer to as a “headache”… always searching for an alternative option to tried and true medicine, not taking your allergy pills, etc… Also, from the list of problems you listed in your one paragraph bitch, i’d say you’re getting more than your money’s worth with your tax dollars. Your doctor going back to school is just another friendly reminder that the world doesn’t revolve around your sickly ass.Cheers,
Hahahaha, well said J, I completely agree. “Patients” are not “customers”, and a doctor does not have to waste his/her time bending over backwards for all of your special hippy dippy requests when there is a long line of people with legitimate and serious circumstances who don’t waste the system’s time. Perhaps it was a wee bit unprofessional of your doctor not to warn you of their return to school, but he/she probably didn’t want to inflict you any one of his/her colleagues because of your arrgoant and difficult ways.
