What the fuck, a friend just told me they were barely let into a club downtown with a oceanic themed name because suddenly, if you have visible ink on hands, necks or forearms, you can’t come in(I would LOVE confirmation on this). Fuck it if they’re dressed nice, gotta keep that undesirable element out, huh?

I’m thinking starts with P and ends with O…?? If that’s the club i was there last weekend and I have half a sleeve and very visable arm tatty’s …oh yeah AND facial piercings….

I was thinking Seahorse, but Pacifico makes much more sense. A group of us went there one time when I was in college a few years back and they turned away one of my friends because he had skater shoes on…..WTF?
Yeah Lori years ago I was turned away because I had RED PANTS on …they said I looked like a raver…but I didn’t get turned away lately and I’m all tatted up and have facial piercings so maybe the Seahorse…but they are doing a misfits cover show the end of the month I wonder how that dress code will fly
I haven’t been to the SH lately but I think a policy like that would alienate most of their patrons, unless things have changed quite drastically.
I know people who have tats and they are some of the coolest of the bunch usually. For an establishment to turn away those that use their bodies as a canvas for expression of art is a shitty way to interpret or understand those people. Shame on you all.
The Sea Horse has gone down hill for sure! you use to go in there be abel to carv your name into a table, spit on the ground while smoking. Now they turn you away if you look a certain way
Chances are also, it’s only for Men. Same thing with hats and tank tops. Women get in no problem, men do not. Personally, I just think the bouncers don not want anyone to ‘LOOK’ tougher than them. (the bouncers) I can understand dresscodes to an extent, wanting a certain level of class…well the ‘look’ of class. But for the most part they are stupid and discriminatory. And why in God’s name would you want everyone to look the same?? Same type of pants, same type of shirts, same type of dress, same hair styles. Same shitty music….BORING!!!!!
