How is that young girl not charged with distributing Porn. She took the picture. She sent it out. The buck started with her.
I just don’t get it. She’s as innocent as the other two for sending it out from her personal device.

Another example of poor legislation created at a time of heightened emotions and hysteria.
Why are we ruining the lives of CHILDREN at the expense of pacifying a few crazed adults?
I am ashamed to be in a province- the only province – which criminalizes kids.
NO ONE is that case nor in any others should have been charged.
What’s worse are the pious attitudes of the legal system and the lack of outrage by the citizenry.

Poor legislation, indeed. Funny that they didn’t pick up on this in the 1960s when Polaroid ‘Swinger’ cameras were all the rage! Kids back then took ‘skin shots’ of each other without all this hubbub and bullshit.

Legislation, if there has to be some and as long as it’s illegal to possess or manipulate the trade of pornography of humans under 18, should start with the source of the pornography.
I believe if a youngster wants to ‘try on the BIG panties’, they should be held accountable to the same standard of the BIG panty world. That, if you want to make BIG people pornograph, you need to meet the legislation minimum standard and if you don’t, you are held accountable to that standard. No one makes selfie porn by accident and no one sends out selfie porn from their device by accident….. Why aren’t these children all met with the reprecussions of legislation.
I’m sure if the government really wanted to do something about the illegal making and distribution of child porn, they’d charge all the makers of pornography the same. Whether it be an adult or a minor. It all starts with the original photo. If that held the biggest charge…..and they charged equally across the board, perhaps the minors would realize just how serious an offence to the law it really is.
When children are not given the basic understanding of a healthy self-esteem outlook, someone needs to step in and take care of that for them, they are minors after all. The government steps in at every other quarter for child protection. Abuse, neglect, etc, are acts not only committed to a youth but, as in this case, also acts committed by youths. If a parent/gardian/caretaker can’t meet the standard of raising healthy youngsters, the government should step in.
We have laws protecting youths from the adult world but where is the law protecting them from themselves. Simply put, the chick made the porn and the chick distributed the porn….. And SHE’s the victim? Seems to me she could have saved three lives from humiliation if she didn’t in the first place.
