to recap, i found a kitten at my door in shock from so many fleas biting it, it was becoming anemic and had pss running out of its eyes, the people it belonged to live above me, they also have a dog they are starving, i took the kitten and picked all the fleas of made a vet appiontment and fed the poor thing, they called the cops on me and took the cat back to them, they wouldnt let me take the cat to the vet, and she missed the sppiontment. the cops said it was out of their hands (starving dog) and the spca will take care of the problem,
heres the update,
the kitten is dead, no one helped this cat and when i tried i had the cops come banging on my door,
this kitten suffered every moment of its short life, and i just wanted to let the world know how depressed i am and how disappointed i am with the system, and how much i hate these animal abusing peices of shit,
oh and the bitch came to my door crying about its death, if she was with me, she would be alive and happy instead of being literally eaten to death,

you ought to follow up and report this story back to the responding officer and the SPCA contact they made. No SPCA contact? A lying and indifferent police force or incompetence on the part of the SPCA… now that’s newsworthy! Why aren’t these people charged with cruelty or neglect? You still talk to your neighbour? You’re too nice. Get a back bone and treat these people how they’d like to be treated evident by how they treat their pets or, at least, just be truthful when your idiot neighbour comes looking for a shoulder. Let me guess… these idiots have kids too…?
The problem is the bylaws in this city, and the laws in this province are fucked up and not nearly strong enough to deal with cases like this. Please don’t blame the SPCA, the people who work and volunteer there really do care about animals and do everything that they can to help them, but when it comes to taking animals away they HAVE to follow the law, and the laws are incredibly restrictive. This makes me so sad.
This is so awful to read. It’s ridiculous that people could be so terrible towards an animal that they’d rather have it in their possession and dying than with someone else and living. I miss my cats 🙁

I’ve called animal control several times directly when I see an animal situation like this. They’re quick to act and come take the animal into custody and won’t hesitate to question the owners. Thanks for trying to do the right thing- many wouldn’t have.
Call animal control and the SPCA regarding what happened to the kitten and the dogs condition, OP. Call them every day if necessary, tell them you fear for the dog’s life, be persistant.
