  1. intimidating (only 1 m) – Frighten or overawe (someone), especially in order to make them do what one wants: – Oxford Dictionary.
In other words, an aggressive bully and you’re the problem.

  2. This b*tch made me think of this old quote. I believe Abe Lincoln mouthed this one: ‘Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak out and remove all doubt.’

1.discover or perceive by chance or unexpectedly

Or, they PERCEIVE OB as intimidating, which is different.

  4. I suspect that “intimidating” is code for being a jerk. OB, try to be humble in your dealings with your co-workers otherwise you will find yourself wearing another title – office pariah.

  5. Leadership has absolutely nothing to do with being intimidating. To be a good leader you have to be friendly, approachable and there to support your team, not bark orders at them. There’s a time and a place for that kind of tone and it should be RARE. Being terse is much more effective if you only use it when required and not in front of the whole team. But anyone who actually DESCRIBES THEMSELVES as intimidating, guaranteed, not a good leader.

  6. Let me fix this for you:

“I was told other professionals find me intimidating.”

“I said, ‘that’s their issue not mine.'”

“And that proved their very point. I’m an asshole.”

  7. Good for you! That’s Caesar Scenario, where all the weaklings hang up on the Real Winner. Fuck em….

  8. If you’re workers are intimidated, then they can’t work with you. Maybe you should find another job, like bouncer or police officer.
