We have several producers of wood pellets in Nova Scotia, most of which have received some kind of subsidy/financial support from our government (taxpayers) yet there are no pellets available at retail anywhere in Nova Scotia right now. These producers are shipping thousands of pounds of pellets to Europe as we speak. This is not right. —Brett

Capitolism at it’s finest!! Be glad we’re not in Russia tho, because in soviet Russia, pellets ship you!!
Get yourself a pellet gun and have a stand-off at the marine terminal. Take back your chips.
If having a wood stove, means you need to be dependant on electricity to have it function … Why bother ?
I have been using wood stoves for years, a nice large cast iron wood stove will give you fabulous dry warmth, whether the power is on or not. So when the cold stormy weather knocks NSP grid out once again, you can be nice & toasty warm …. Or cursing your pellet stove, because of a lack of electricity & no damn fuel to burn.
Use dried rabbit turds instead.
Rye. Use rye.
Used Timmie’s cups minus lids (I recycle them) squashed into a small log works in a pinch…Great fire starter.
Anyone who knows me and has been in my car can attest to the stack of Timmy cups i keep for such purposes.
I’m with the frog…
get that liquor in ya and you won’t need a furnace to feel toasty warm.
Also, added perk…. you’ll be happy and sedated for when the hypothermia sets in.
Pretty sure the amphibian was referring to the grain, not the hooch distilled from it. Pass the coke, please. Hold the ice.
Well, I like Stella (Heineken when travelling) or a smooth vodka – double, on the rocks, lots of lemon.
For heat, I prefer men.
Willard, you sound like you have a problem.
A dislike? Apparently someone doesn’t like men for heat… Probably a member of the local Ladies Lynch MoBBery.
There aren’t any wood pellets anywhere around here? Switch from burning pellets to burning pallets. There’s plenty of those around, for free.
