All of a sudden my wipers decide to wrap themselves around each other in mid-wipe, making it impossible for me to see while driving in this damned downpour.
Thanks Chrysler, for making a shitty product that falls apart the day after warranty…

  1. I bought an extended plan warranty which was supposed to cover “everything but plastic and rubber” for four years. The door practical fell off two years later (steel hinge broke) and they wouldn’t cover it.

  2. I KNOW!! I just rented a Chrysler vehicle for my job (needed the space afforded by stow ‘n go), and not only was it cheaply made, but the lighting was horrible, the odometer was non-existent, the seating uncomfortable… I could go on and on. This is supposed to be a brand new model! What really surprised me was how easy it was to lock yourself out. After just one week I was ready to write Chrysler to express that they couldn’t pay me to drive one of their vehicles! I’ll stick with my 14-year-old Toyota, which has barely ever needed work and still runs great!

  3. Oh, Fords are even worse. I was driving in my mother’s Taurus one day and the tie rod snapped. Just like that. One bad bump and we woulda been sailing straight into oncoming traffic.
Heads up as well – watch the older Toyotas. Something funky’s going on with the accellerator getting all stuck.

  4. Oddly, enough, my 10 year old (going on 11) Saturn is going strong, and that’s a bloody GM product. I’m just happy it hasn’t blown up yet. This is the build quality and backing that drove them into bankruptcy. You’re dumb enough to buy Chrysler, that’s what ya get. That said, wiper blades are 20 bucks a piece and usually installation is free at the place you buy them. If not, do it yourself… They come with directions and it takes about 20 minutes to do.

  5. had a 65 bug years back, wipers stopped in the middle of an ocean of rain.try driving for 5 miles with your head out the window, like an old hound dog.i had 2 inches of water in the car,by the time i got home, and was soaked through.

  6. I drove an old car of mine with a bad wiper motor for a summer without wipers, Rain X was my best friend that year.

  7. Whatever you do OP, if your wipers aren’t working right, don’t just follow behind someone else who can see what they’re doing. If you have to, make sure they’re driving legally.

  8. yota’s are where it’s at.. and it’s not the older models unmercifully killing people in a brutal yet spectacular fashion.. unless a couple years old is considered “old”.

yota/nissan/VW are all I’d ever buy unless I only wanted my car to last more than 5 years.
I suppose the rest are keen to the lease market.
