Alright, I’m watching TV today and I see the commercial with the two old fucks sitting outside the TD bank complaining about the new hours, the customer service etc…… I’m sure you’ve all seen it.

Well holy fuck, I’m sure that these two are two of the same fucking people on Halifax’s ” Heritage Committee”. I say this because this committee seems to think that things are fine the way that they are and everything should remain status quo. If we don’t evolve and grow as a city we become stagnant and irrelevant. Our young people need new opportunites and chances at advancement. Who the fuck wants to stay and work here for a little more than minimum wage in shitty old structures that our Heritage Committtee is so intent on keeping. Everything out west is shinier, newer and bigger with way more money. I’m sick and fucking tired of watching proposed new buildings and businesses being rejected by this committee of old fuckers. Stop dragging us all down, you don’t fucking speak for me or any of my friends. We want new infrastructure and opportunities you want to keep it like it’s motherfucking Mayberry or something. Our city can still be beautiful and grow at the same time, which is why we need a committee that is progressive and younger with long term goals for the city and it’s people instead of the nearsightedness that is the present situation. So hurry up and fucking move aside for some new insight you stupid old fuckers. Halifax is like stepping 40 fucking years into the past when you get here! FUCK! And they say time travel isn’t possible.

  1. Hey there BIGFoley, the “If we don’t evolve and grow as a city we become stagnant and irrelevant” statement you posted happened like a few years ago. I lost count. The funny thing about it, now on TV and the Radio, I see ads promoting products and store in other provinces, where those stores are actually not available here in NS. It’s a bit odd but I’d expect that in Halifax.

  2. you like your stuff shiny, new, and torn down every thirty years? then move to toronto!ever wondered why Toronto, and most big cities out west look the same? BECAUSE EVERYTHING GETS TORN DOWN AND BUILT UP EVERY 20 YEARS!ever wondered why Europe looks so much more appealing? because THEY KEEP THEIR OLD BUILDINGS. just like Halifax is trying to.i for one, am glad to have an opportuniy to live in an original, victorian house, rather than choosing between a mcbuilding, and a mcbuilding with balcony. that was part of the reason why i moved here, from Toronto. and staying here. and i’m young.

  4. And what is with these Glass Tower condo’s that are so popular in every major city? Is glass super cheap these days? Now, I’m not a huge fan of concrete facades either, but a city full of carbon-copy condos is BORING…and will look just as ugly as concrete in 20 years when the fad wears off. And since I don’t live in one of these glass house monstrosities, I’m allowed to throw stones.
