Good luck getting HRM to do anything that uses an ounce of common sense. Great idea though.

Have you ever thought that the crosswalk is there to slow traffic down? People shouldn’t be zooming through there anyway. There’s a lot of stuff going on in that area, and it’s NOT meant to be an on-ramp for the bridge!Maybe part of the problem is the unwillingness of people to change their ways and reduce the amount of traffic on the road by taking the bus, walking, or some other form of transportation. If more people did that, then there would be less irate drivers bitching about how long they have to wait in traffic.Why wait till gas hits $2 a litre to figure it out?
The last time I checked, crosswalks weren’t meant to slow traffic down. Traffic essentially does that to itself. The crosswalk just makes it worse.
