  1. Have you nothing better to “Bitch” about? Get a life and /or don’t read the Coast if you are so offended.

  2. Both dictionary.com and my Canadian Oxford Dictionary have bitch as “a complaint” or “to complain” in addition to its usual meaning, so there ya go.

  3. Nooooo way! It’s always been the Bitch and always should be… around here ppl know what you are talking about when you say ‘you read the latest bitch?’… you just can’t change that… we don’t like change… heh

  4. How about this….”What really gets my goat..”I do like it the way it is though.I can’t vote for the origonal title, can I?

  5. bitch: n. 1. A female canine animal, especially a dog. 2. Offensive. a. A woman considered to be spiteful or overbearing. b. A lewd woman. c. A man considered to be weak or contemptible. 3. Slang. A complaint. 4. Slang. Something very unpleasant or difficult.v. Slang bitched, bitch·ing, bitch·es To complain; grumble. Wow a word in the english language with more then one meaning, you don’t see these too often. 1 meaning that talks about dogs, which obviously doesn’t apply to the column. 2 meanings that are degrading to women, which obviosly offends Molly, but equally obviosly do not apply to the column. 1 meaning that degrades men, which does not offend Molly so she ignored it, but also does not apply to the column. Last but not least 3 of the meanings for the word bitch, all ignored by molly and all apply to, and describe well what this colomn is all about. Hmmm… interesting.

  6. I vote for “love the way we fucking bitch like a bunch of little bitches, BITCHES”.nah actually i like the original title that the coast gave.

  7. Any FYI to those who’ve moved here within the past couple years – “The Bitch” gets its name from a feel-good/propaganda slogan that Halifax used a number of years ago: “Love the Way We Live”.

  8. Has it really come to this? I think there are much bigger issues that need to be debated other than the title of a column in a Halifax weekly. See above in other comments, bitch is a word that means a complaint or gripe. Long live the bitch.
